Black America and the Obama Disaster
The Virginian ^ | 10/21/2009 | Moneyrunner

Posted on 10/22/2009 5:18:38 AM PDT by moneyrunner

The time was right and the man was personally appealing. As Joe Biden said,

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," ….. "I mean, that's a storybook, man."

He ran as a post racial fusion candidate;... He was to symbolize the end of America’s racial divide. Despite denials by the media, Obama won the votes of lots of liberals as much for the color of his skin as for the platform of “hope and change.” He was the opportunity to show that they were good people who had transcended the racism they knew existed in every white heart, even theirs, by their vote.

Things did not quite work out that way. The man of unity has become the Saul Alinski follower who seeks to destroy, not love his enemies. He has become the man who presides over trillions of dollars of “stimulus” spending while unemployment reaches double digits in many states. He has transformed America’s free enterprise system by socializing the auto industry, the banks and soon the health care industry. He’s the community organizer who promises to run multi-trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see, and many Americans worry that as a result their children will be worse off than they are. He’s the American president who has spent his first months in office apologizing to the world for America. He has managed to get millions of middle aged and elderly people to participate in street protests against his policies; people who had never attended a rally before. And thanks to the rhetoric of Obama and his admirers, racial tensions have erupted to a level that I had hoped we would never see again.

“He has ... He has ... He’s the ... He’s the ... He has ...”

Rather than quote the entire paragraph ...

with that said, at least he can say that he has done something ... although not what I would want to be remembered for.

Imagine for a moment combining the Obama smile and with the gravity and maturity of a Colin Powell.

Sorry. That's where you lost me.

Obama is beginning to embarrass black people.

“More and more people are coming to the conclusion that Mr. Obama is Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Van Jones, and Anita Dunn.”

What is really sad and shameful is that there are ANY Americans who ONLY NOW see this!

Americans true to their country and to its traditions received these telling and critical signals from Obama and right from the start. Like dogs with their gut level aversion for carrion … we were instantaneously repulsed by what we saw and heard…even if we could not properly articulate our repugnance. ‘If it smells like s^%$ and looks like s^%$ … don’t pick it up and rub it in your face, because it probably IS!!!’

The MSM took it for the McCoy and refused/refuses to see it for what it was.

Growing up I remember my parents always reminding me that: ‘You are judged by the company you keep’. It is still valid counsel…. Obamas’s ‘parents’ obviously never gave him that lesson.

The Zer0 actually told us to judge him by the company he keeps. It was in one of his campaign speeches.

The ordinary American who voted for Obama was unable to hold more than one thought in his/her mind at one time - the thought was “first Black president.”

Obama was elected for this and for no other reason.

Unfortunately, Obama being elected our first “black” president is as harmful as it would have been if Hillary Clinton had been elected as our first “woman” president. It leaves such a sour taste in the mouth - it sets the cause back decades.

“Obama is beginning to embarrass black people.”

I sincerely hope you are right but I have seen no evidence of that. Rather, the Black community seems to be as in love with Dear Leader as they were when they elected him. Please tell me I’m wrong.

Sets back the cause big time. The next black candidate, whoever he is, will be compared to this walking failure. The obamamedia will never report this, but I wonder how many black folks have lost their jobs due to ozero’s actions.

That is what I think too. The “first” could’ve been a break through instead it is setting back the clock 50 years. I doubt that I will live long enough to see another black candidate and I am only 49.

What I don't understand is why the National Black Republicans don't DO something to educate blacks about 0bama. Is being called an "oreo" such a bad thing?

I don't know, I'm not part of that dynamic. But I think that morals and ethics should trump skin color or ethnicity.

And MAYBE that's where the problem is with "moderate muzlems." What are their ethics and morals? Are they "westernized" or are they "sharia?"

If they're sharia, then they're NOT moderate, they're sleepers and they, like 0bama, will side with militant Muzlems when it comes down to that.

Not THIS black man. I have been studying him for SIX years, ever since I worked for the Keyes campaign, appalled by the prospect of the people of Illinois electing such a radical buffon from the the guttermost environs of lefist Chicago sewer politics. When the American people elected this lying Marxist demagogic usurper to the White House, I was dismayed beyond belief and comprehension.

But to be embarrassed by him? No way. I did everything I knew to warn people as to what he really is, and as to how the main streanm press was holding aloft a shield of political correctness for Obama to waltz to electoral victory under. I have NOTHING to do with his being where he is, and I oppose EVERTHING that he represents.

I am only embarassed by that which I am responsible for. I had NOTHING to do with Obama’s success.

I only used that word because I wanted to be considered as being within the bounds of civil discourse. The foulness of the words that I WANTED to use are just barely appropriate to express my true feelings.
