For the third week in a row Saturday Night Live has opened their 'show' with a skit about Barack Obama. Last weeks show was barely funny if funny at all. This weeks may be worse.
Barack Obama gets angry about the health care debate and transforms into The Rock Obama.. played by ex-wrestler & actor The Rock.
Barack The Rock is played as an idiot being controlled by his administration.
I embedded the Saturday Night Live skit here.
So SNL is more like a reality show now? I haven’t watched it in years.
The link wouldn’t open for me. Perhaps O blocked it already.
They went from mildly making fun of him, to making into the most boring character ever, to a superhero. These writers are pathetic. SNL sucks. It is idolotry. Give me a week to write a friggin sketch. I will find plenty of crap to make fun of Obama.
The whole premise is stupid, as if health care reform is down 20% in the polls because everyone wants Obama to fail. Most people don’t think the government should control health care.
Well on how many levels can we describe that skit as, RACIST! Yet, with every joke is a bit of reality...everyones depiction of common political behavior of white people and the girly men present, including the one that calls himself Olivia Snow.
"Barack The Rock is played as an idiot being controlled by his administration . . . "I disagree: The Rock Obama ripped the arm off one nameless senator. Threw another senator out of a White House window and ordered VP Biden to walk through a wall. The pretty female senator was being sexually intimidated over her health care views when the VP walked into the scene and interrupted. Obama was portrayed as demented, ignorant, destructive and ego-inflated. In effect, making 0 a menace to our form of government and anyone coming in contact with him.
Of course, I could be wrong. But that is how the skit struck me. I was shocked that SNL producers allowed the skit to air on national television. Methinks there will be payback coming . . .
0 must be very angry . . .
That’s even more blatantly pro-Obama, pro-Obama policy, anti-Obama opposition than the last two skits. It’s as if in the first one SNL accidentally wasn’t clear enough to his hyper-sensitive supporters that they were defending the guy.
I disagree...at first I thought the same thing, but then as you watch it, is is RRALLY a slam at Obama...he is depicted like an out of control, barely thinking neaderthal that “wants his way” or his enemies pay.
Can you actually say that after watching the whole thing? ARe you kidding??
I haven’t either except online the last three weeks.
I’m curious if there ratings have gone up or down in the last three weeks.
You may have to clear your cache if it’s the video. I just checked clicked it and it’s working fine.
You make a good point there, ex-Texan
There is No problem with the site link.
Sure I can.
The inner Obama has the right to be angry at Republicans who oppose what even they believe is good for the country, just for the opportunity to fight their opposition.
Good ol’ Olympia hasn’t been pressured and rolled enough until she’s persuaded to vote for whatever bill the Dems get to the floor, not what she has voted for so far in committee.
Baucus needs to be pressured to support a more extreme plan too. Given all that Obama has to put up with, included Dolt Biden and the mess he inherited from Bush, it’s understandable if his ‘Inner Rock’ boils up in frustration. At least this is all just a skit and the real Obama actually manages to be incredibly cool and collected in the face of the idiot Republicans and all his challenges.
You mean it's still on the air?
Yeah, but that is not Obama, that is his alter ego. At first they set up the justification for Obama to be outraged, then he turns into Rock Obama. Typical liberal, they are justifying Obama's use of enemies lists and other tactics. The incredible Hulk is a sympathetic figure who only hurts people who hurt him.
see posts 18 and 20.
Barack is not a rock, he is a millstone.
Well, the first half of that sentence is right.....
