Hoyer: No Health Care until Christmas or maybe even 2010
Patriot Room ^ | October 14, 2009 | Bill Dupray

Hmmm. I could have sworn Nancy Pelosi had the votes for this thing back in July. Then last week they were almost to 218. Now it appears that Steny Hoyer may be punting the House bill into late December or, worse (for the Democrats), into the legislative graveyard of 2010.

surprisingly, the House may be where this goes down. It is run by the lefties and they probably cannot get the votes to pass this garbage. All these people have to run for reelection in a year or less after this vote.

Blue Dogs are not liking the bill and without 30 of them this thing is done.

If the Dems are not able to get anything done on Health Care, Cap and Tax, and Stimulate II before Feb 2010 we might just make it> February 2010 is the start of the primary season and as long as the tea party spirit keeps going, Democrats will be running away from Obammy and not for him in order to get re-elected.

GOOD! That means that they get to come home and take abuse 24/7 from all of us and senior citizens who do not want this at all. If they had the votes it would be passed tomorrow. They must be figuring out rapidly that they are ready to lose their majority in 2010 and think by putting it off they might save some seats? No chance with unemployment over 10%!

Hoyer may be a liberal partisan sonofabitch, but he’s a realist, and knows how to read the tea leaves. Certainly he is much more grounded in reality than Trancy Nancy

Maybe 3 MILLION "Pink Slips" being sent to CONgress are helping to make a difference too?
