If We Don't Stand Up For God, We Will Fall Further

Our Country was founded by people who had a strong belief in God--not just the lip service that most people spout today--but beliefs so strong that they actually used the Bible as a handbook for how to live and how to govern. There are documents that prove this (check out wallbuilders.com). Read the writings of our Founding Fathers and you will see their belief in God very clearly.

They are losers....they are no where near what our Founding Fathers were, many of them (Founders) were pastors and ministers of God’s word, the people we have in our Congress are agents of Satan. I am waiting for one of them to finally stand up and do what is right, but of course all they seem to care about is THEMSELVES!!!! They will pay for that in the end. Hate to be in their shoes come Judgment Day. To them judgment day is the next election.

Is there a level below that of Sodom and Gomorrah to which America will fall?

As a lifelong Christian, and politically independent strong conservative, I support pretty much all that Sarah is attempting to do for our country -

...however IMO it is wrong-headed to some how frame this critical debate as needing to “stand up for God” -

He is Sovereign in the Universe and does not need our “help”

You miss the point. Read the Bible some more. Our removing God from society not only slaps God in the face, but also removes our blessings from Him. He is slow to anger which is why America is still here, but it is just a matter of time until he returns and those who continued to disobey will be punished for it. Those who stand up for God and don't let the ways of the world get them to become complacent will prosper. Not saying anything and allowing God to be removed from society is just as egregious as doing things against Him--Christian or not. There are many who claim to be Christians that will not be making it on the day Christ calls the Church home and that will include men of God (Priests, Pastors, Ministers etc..) because while they claim to be Christians they continue to walk the way of the world and not God's way. Walking God's way is difficult for some because it means giving up things that we don't think of as being against God, something as simple as watching a certain TV show etc...The thing is not if you know Christ, but does HE know you. Meaning are you taking the Bible literally and walking His way and not the way of the world. Are you using the Bible as your guide to how to live or are you just into it on Sunday's? So when I say that the government has taken God out of society and that is why there are problems now--it is true. Also many people are not teaching their children about God, I bet more kids know about the latest video game than they do about God. It is society's fault for leaving God out. The Bible says seek God FIRST, he should be #1 and other things after, that applies to individuals as well as those in our government. The founding fathers recognized this and we were blessed as a nation, but as we removed God, our blessings were also removed.
