Whether it was rewarding Jimmy Carter for criticizing the Iraq War or supporting Al Gore in his crusade against global warming, the Norwegian Parliament - which chooses the winners of the Nobel Peace Prize - has sought to use the award as a political tool to influence American politic s. Its prestige and moral power make the prize a potent weapon with which to help steer the direction of the colossus beyond the seas that controls a quarter of the worlds economy and most of its military power.

Drag 'em all over here, kicking and screaming if necessary, give them all "due process," and then the firing squad for every stinking last one of 'em. Televise it, and let it be a warning to the rest of the "One World Queers" about how we deal with Socialist Faggots here in Big "A" America!

I am beginning to question the motives of the so-called Republicans we have in government.
If you stop and think about it, what motivation do they have to buck the tide?
The only thing I can think of is, moral courage, which requires a moral compass. Who exactly are the members of the Nobel Prize committee,
the Norwegian Storting, or Parliament
You are absolutely right. McCain is the template of the new enfeebled and feeble-minded Republican Party. They spend more time criticizing Glenn Beck than they do the Socialist Takeover of America.
A most excellent column by Morris.
