Earlier this week the National Republican Congressional Committee released a statement on Nancy Pelosi's sudden departure from her insistence that the war in Afghanistan was the "real central front" in the war on terror:
"If Nancy Pelosi’s failed economic policies are any indicator of the effect she may have on Afghanistan, taxpayers can only hope McChrystal is able to put her in her place."
Nancy Pelosi and her fellow democrats responded like, well... liberals. They ignored the facts and made an emotional appeal. They ignored the first part of the statement, and played up the meaningless ending. In short, Pelosi played the girl card.
"It's really sad they don't understand how inappropriate that is," Pelosi told reporters at her weekly press conference. " I'm in my place. I'm the Speaker of the House, the first woman Speaker of the House. And I'm in my place because the House voted me there. That language is something I hadn't heard in decades."
Predictably, the New York Times blog, responded like, well... liberals,spinning Pelosi's statement as a smack-down.
But who gave the real smack-down, the one crying about language, or the ones using facts? Decide for yourself. Here's the Republican response...

I must be getting old (40) because I didn’t see anything in that statement that was inappropriate in any way, shape pr form. Is sexism described differently these days?

No. 1. That sentence just shows we must fire the House and start over.
No. 2. That’s most likely a lie because leftsts don’t care what kind of language they use or whether what they say is a lie or not.
There are plenty of people around here who would like to smack her down.

The Pope and Nancy Pelosi are on the same stage in front of a huge crowd..
The Pope leans towards Mrs. Pelosi and said, “Do you know that with one little wave of my hand I can make every person in this crowd go wild with joy? This joy will not be a momentary display, like that of your followers, but go deep into their hearts and they’ll forever speak of this day and rejoice!”
Pelosi replied, “I seriously doubt that. With one little wave of your hand? Show me”
So the Pope slapped her.
Victimhood zealots can find offense in anything they hear.
She is a prickly speaker, but what type of idiots work at the RNC. They get paid a lot of money to write press releases, and words are important. Why give the jerks on the left any quarter? We left it wide open for them to feign their faux horror at the insensitivity of those evil chauvanists on the right.
