Tuesday, September 29, 2009 Obama Worship comes to Howard County
Well, it looks like the worship of his holiness Barack Obama has infected Longfellow Elementary in Howard County. See this email below, and get ready to be disgusted. Because no President, Republican or Democrat, should be glorified like this.

Hi everyone, below is the email that our sons Assistant Principal sent us to let us know the wording of the Obama song that our son told us his class was instructed to sing last week the teacher is part of the first grade team of teachers and is really nice, but this is not what we want our son doing at school or anywhere!
Any advice?

Hello Mr. (REMOVED),
The words to the song are below.
Thank you!
Laurel Marsh
Obama,
President Obama,
President Obama,
President Obama,
President Obama--He says
Yes we can!
President Obama--We say
Yes we can!
President Obama--I say
Yes I can!
President Obama--He says
Yes we can!
Barack Obama--Oh yes he rates,
The first Black President in the United States!
He's smart and he's--so so good!
He'll lead this country as he should!
He wants us all to work together,
To make this country even better!
Prez' Obama says--"Yes We Can!"
Make the US better--hand in hand!
Obama,
President Obama,
President Obama,
President Obama
President!

jeepers. glad i’m not in grade school
Do you really need advice? Take your child out of that environment in any way you can. Otherwise, you face the prospect of them becoming brainwashed into a good Obama-youth.
I’m going to hurl.
I haven’t any kids yet. And, how the hell do you expect me to pay for private school, AND college AND be able to retire.
I’ll start them playing sports early, and give them the proper tutoring in the after school hours to deprogram them. Additionally, it’s always good to have allies on the inside of the enemy’s den.
Especially considering the fact that this country’s economy is on the long road to hell.
I want to know where these songs are coming from? Is this a curriculum that somebody from the WH, or the Obama team, is circulating amongst music teachers?
Ask the asst. principal to e-mail you the words to the songs/chants they had for President Bush so you can make sure that Bush didn’t get more accolades that obama is getting from the students. Oh, and I don’t really mean that as a sarcastic comment. When they don’t have a Pres. Bush song then scream DISCRIMINATION as loud as you can.
mmmmm....mmmmmm....mmmmm! Wouldn’t want to be that pricipal nor the teacher!
I would point out that YES I CAN is a campaign slogan and that is not appropriate. Also it is not appropriate to praise a President for with he WILL do or what he SAYS he will do. Maybe if there were real accomplishments which were universally agreed upon it would be closer to being ok. Though singing and chanting the praises of any living political person is really forcing the children to mouth a political opinion. I know we have the right to say what we think politically. Do we have the right to also NOT say what we disagree with? Can a public institution force political speech on our children and therefore indirectly upon US??
It was only a matter of time before this happened in my Socialist State of Maryland...
I also want to know where these are coming from and how coordinated it is and if it has ever happened before. Is there some site which has all these songs in one place so that we can see how many of them there are? Maybe we need a central place where people can report them. Is there even ONE Bush or Clinton song or chant?
I just wrote my own Obama punk song...it goes like this:
Obama...you suck!
I forgot the fReAK StATE ping! And NO KIDDING!
May Jesus have mercy on anyone that forces my children to recite a song praising obama...
I am hyperventilating! This clown has done NOTHING, not a damned thing, but these pathetic excuses for teachers are having young children sing his praises?
Let’s go back a few years, not many, really. After 70 years, thanks to Pres Reagan, the Iron Curtain came down. Did any teachers have their students singing praises of Reagan ?
Is this the “mmmmm...mmmmm...mmmmm” song?
Everyone says ‘Well, when it gets THIS bad (drawing a line in the sand), I’m pulling my kids out of public school’. But who actually does it?
Music teachers= NEA(national endowment for the arts)
It’s possible they were in on the propaganda that the NEA was attempting recently. Hadn’t thought about that, it would be worthwhile for someone in the new media(ie. breitbart, beck, fox, etc.) to check into... see what entities that campaign spread into.
Ping!!
We do & did. It shocked them when my husband calmly said. “If that is the case, please get the paperwork together we will be withdrawing him.”
this school needs some patriots to picket the indoctrination song.
My daughter is both a public school and a Catholic school music teacher, grades K-12, in VA. I know that she is heavily pressured to include “diversity” in the songs she teachers. I’ll ask her about this and where these directives come from. I know that they have all kinds of associations and workshops. Somebody said on this forum that the author of that children’s book on Obama (who went to Harvard with him) also wrote one of the songs on the original tapes that surfaced.
I can tell you this: most music teachers do not have the time to compose stuff like this. These songs are being distributed through some network, and the teachers grab them as something “different”.
then the school needs a team of lawyers to descend upon them
I see this Obama worship cultism has reached my neck of the woods. I'm glad my kids are in private school. It can be difficult financially but at least they won't bowing down to the Dagon of Leftist America -- Barack Hussein Obama.
I’ll just add that I remember singing songs for a cause in school — in those days it was “War Bonds for our Soldiers”. Since I was only in 1st grade it came home like “Werbens for our soldiers” and my mother had to contact the teacher to find out what I was singing.
We learned enough songs for a whole program that we presented to the school and the parents after V-J Day. In fact, I thought that the War was finally over because our class was about to move to a new teacher and, it was our last chance to sing our songs because the new teacher wouldn’t know them!
However, with all that patriotic fever going on, we did not learn one song praising FDR or Harry Truman!
I asked her who provided the kid with the question on Afghans having free national health care. Was it a teacher or member of the Obama advance team. She wouldn't answer.
Cheers!
Not to worry, Drudge and ELRUSHBO, were emailed and informed.
As someone who lives less than a mile from this school, this is why my son will attend private school.
OK - we should jam the phones.
This is from The Onion, right? They can’t be so dense as to think they can get away with this after that whole uproar a few weeks ago..
You need a major barf alert warning on that one...
Not the onion.
Sorry, was busy doing several things at once.
This is reality - not the Onion. Unfortunately. Michelle Malkin has it on her site now.
Call the school information office, Patti Caplan 1-410 313 6680 and ask her the name of the teacher who wrote the song with her class as an assignment, last year. Ask her about the purpose and how she thinks that this song meets that goal.
Let her know that this kind of indoctrination and hero worship is inappropriate in a public school.
They sent it AFTER it was sung?
A Letter From a Child/Thomas Sowell
http://www.creators.com/conservative/thomas-sowell/a-letter-from-a-child.html
Ask Patti Caplan, the school’s information officer, how she would feel if her child came home singing songs of praise to President Bush for keeping us safe from terrorism for eight years since the 9/11 attacks.

I left a message informing her I would be sending an email. The email asked if there is any truth to this “Internet rumor.”
I do not expect a response before nightfall
Give her a call and ask her about it.
I’m thinking of writing some 80s-style metal songs against Obama.
It’s not a rumor. She told me that the song was written in class by a teacher and her students last year. She says that the song was meant as encouragement to keep kids in school. I said that I don’t see that in the words, that it doesn’t say anything at all about working hard and staying in school, that all it says is Obama is “good” and that is a value judgement that may or may not be true.
link?
Lisa, whoever she is, is lying. I spoke to the information director of the school and she told me that the song was written in class by a teacher and her students. She refused to reveal the name of the teacher, however. I asked why she wouldn’t tell me the name, if it was because the woman was ashamed of what she had done. Patti Caplan assured me that the teacher was not at all ashamed. She said that it was part of some program that the school ran last year, a tech program of some kind. I didn’t get the exact assignment. Anyway, it happened.
That is not the correct telephone number for the Information director at the school. The correct number is 1 410 313 6680. The woman’s name is Patti Caplan. When I called the number that you posted in the article, I got the receptionist/secretary/aid. When I told her what I wanted, she laughed and said that they were directing all calls about the song to their information director. I told Patti that I thought the song was nothing less than political indoctrination, a real obscenity.
Mmm mmm mmm
Barack Hussein Obama!
He says we need to lend a hand
To buy our guns before he bans!
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
