Just asking. When you capitalize a period of time like the Age of Discovery, the Industrial Revolution, the Space Age or the Great Depression, you mark it as an historical era. Rachel Beck, writing for the Associated Press, has capitalized her two references to the Great Recession.

Think we have been in a recession so long now we are actually in the “Lesser Depression” not the “Great Recession”.

Sorry, but let's be accurate. There are currently more folks unemployed now (15.1 million) than there were unemployed during the highest point in the great depression (11.4 million in 1933).

If John McCain were currently president, liberals would be shouting it to the rafters (and being parroted by the democrat press).

The “GREAT” recession? The AP will only call it that when it is deemed OVER! That way, Hussein will have magically gotten we the little people through the great recession with just a wave of his mighty hand.

Great Recession? I think we should call it the “Obamacession.”

Jess. I realize the population has increased. I realize the current percentage is much lower than the 24.9% during the height of the GD. My point was that the libs would have seized on the actual number and trumpeted it loudly.

You duntno nothin' neither.

“You duntno nothin’ neither.”

I know the difference between 9.8% unemployment and 25% unemployment.

As do I. Yet you’ve proven incapable of understanding the clear meaning of my statement.
