The State of Virginia has argued in a federal court filing that they can legally send out absentee ballots to active duty soldiers the day before an election. Restated again, the Democratic Chairwoman of the Virginia State Board of Election (appointed by the Democratic National Committee Chair Tim Kaine, in his capacity as Virginia Governor) Jean Cunningham just claimed a legal basis for massively raising the barrier to voting for soldiers at war.

Read the link to see that there is legislation that passed the senate to keep this from happening at the state level. Nancy Pelosi will not let the legislation be presented in the House.
It’s rapidly looking like that’s the case; that or Revolution.
Gee. If one or more of the conservatives on the SCOTUS met an untimely and unexplained end, the one could appoint more Liberal Judges to the court and we would really be screwed. I hope I don’t give anyone in DC any ideas but since most of the powers that be come out of Chicago politics, I’m sure they have already considered this.

The McDonnell election is an important harbinger for 2010. They DO NOT want him to win and Kaine and company are going to do everything legal and illegal to keep him from winning. McDonnell is a vet and has worked hard for the military.
Virginia has a huge military population. Many of them at sea.

I guess our service men and women will have to take leave and come home for the elections to make sure their votes count. I mean, really, this is beyond the pale. If anyone gets to vote in an election, it should be the men and women who ensure we are able to have them, not these fools that have to hold their pants up while trying to pull the lever!

Considering all the people I saw today at the Manassas Fall Jubilee sporting McDonnell stickers and balloons...including the woman I told you about who was wearing the sticker for Jackson Miller, while proclaiming that she was a democrat, but would most definitely vote for Miller, as he “cares for our community”...I don’t doubt that they are looking for every possible way to suppress the vote.

I hope that the Court asks them if this is their intent. If they answer in the affirmative, it means that the State of Virginia can discriminate against a class of citizens in an election. By this, I mean in part that many citizens who are not on active duty, and who are not in the military, receive their absentee ballots in a sufficient amount of time to mark their ballots and mail them back to be counted. Then, the Court should do something the activist Democrats love for the Courts to do, and take over the administration of elections for the State of Virginia until December 2012, since it is obvious that elections officials don't understand their Constitutional duties. (Although, the liberals would howl in pain should the Court take an action to protect the voting rights of active duty Military members.)

On a side note, all of those people in Virginia who live in cemetaries and therefore cannot make it to the voting booth, their absentee ballots will be sent out in PLENTY of time.
