RIO, RIO, RIO. Let's not forget the article on sex and performance. Let's see. Giselle Budgen (spelling?) and many similar Brazilian beauties or Michelle Obama/Oprah. HMMMMM. Tough call for the male athletes.

Any bets on which city will win? I think it is between Rio and Chicago. I don't see Tokyo getting it only two Olympics after Beijing... too much Asia, too quickly. Similarly, I don't expect Madrid to get it since Barcelona already had it (although it would be 24 years apart). I'm betting on Rio, even though Obama Himself showed up.

Go, Rio, Madrid and Tokyo!!!
To: GOP Poet
Allow me to elaborate. LOL. I meant the article on sex and improved athletic performance. My husband was the one that reminded me of that and it cracked me up regarding the potential selection of RIo versus Chicago. Can't take credit.

For the sake of safety of the international community, I hope it’s not Chicago.
To: johnnyd0422
It’ll probably be Rio. It won’t be Madrid because the 2012 games are in London, and it won’t be Tokyo because Asia just had the 2008 games. It’s the America’s turn but South America has never hosted an Olympics and the committee will say that they’re due.

They might need to go through several rounds.
To: johnnyd0422
Chicago gained the LEAST amount of votes and will not participate in the next round.
To: fatima
About an hour. I predict Rio unless ACORN registered a bunch of extra IOC voters or Mayor Daley is doing the counting.

I’m betting Zero showed up because he has been given a heads-up that it will be Chicago. The empty suit needs to be seen as accomplishing something other than winning an election. Today’s announcement will give him the ability to claim persuasiveness. He wouldn’t be showing up to mourn a loss.

I always hope that the US will get the games, despite who our president is. He may not be president at the time. Even though Chicago is Chicago, it's not the only corrupt place to have the Olympics. Mexico for example.
All that being said, Brazil is in the middle of a revival and SA has never had the games.

96 votes, 1 abstention, valid ballots 95.
The city of Tokyo gained the LEAST amount of votes and will not participate in the next round.

Shouldn’t Obama be happy and please as punch, besides he like the rest of the world more than the USA. But he won’t be able to give sweet deals to the likes of Rezko and his ilk.
The internal conundrums must be tearing him up inside.... Poor Obama, he now has internal conflict.....

I think he went because in his narcissistic mind he could not imagine his pitch not getting the job done.
He is hearing, and experiencing, “no” for the first time in his life. Let’s hope it’s just the beginning of his education on life in the real world.

I have to say I really, really thought that Bambo had greased the wheels. No way would he duck out on Afghanistan, duck out on the economy and duck out of the Presidency unless he had this sewn up.
Kudos to the IOC, things have changed since Atlanta.
And sucks to the Chicago Mob.
