As more and more of the country is realizing Obama is a communist and a monumental disaster, dreams of 2010 and 2012 are vivid and nightly. Race for 2008 posted its analysis of each candidate on domestic and foreign policy. I included their analysis on Governor Palin and Mayor Giuliani, since I think they would make a great team. I do not believe he is a RINO, they have similar political styles and they are friends. You can also check-out their analysis on Tim Pawlenty, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Tom Ridge, Mike Huckabee, Gary Johnson and Ron Paul.
OMG NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
not guliani
Who is that other brilliant woman conservative from a southewest state?
I like Rudy as a person, but I will not support him as a candidate, because he doesn’t have the skill or know how required to win. I think I’d like to see a Bolton/ Palin ticket at this point.
This ticket would lose to Obama almost as badly as a Palin/Romney ticket would.
Uhhhhhh, no. You didn't. Linky?
I don’t know, who is she? Guv? Congresswoman? I think we’ve already got the female component covered with Palin. I also think it’s too soon to think about veeps, though I suppose it doesn’t hurt to have a few candidates think they’re prospects for such through the race.
Anyway, the idea I suppose is that Rudy would reassure the Eastern elite, they’re both for economic freedom and a strong defense. But I don’t think it’s a winner.
I think she’ll go for something of a Washington insider-outsider so she both adds the Washington experience and doesn’t neutralize her outsider advantage. That’d likely be either a governor-turned-senator or a governor with prior congressional or federal executive branch experience. (And no, Jindhal’s still too young if nothing else!)
He is and we cleared that up a long time ago.
A right wing populist and a libertarian is not the way to go for the Republican Party.
We need at least one conservative on the ticket.
Preferably on the top of the ticket.
How many times are you going to post this?
I want ALL these ald farts who have been around forever OUT THE DOOR! Not selected yet again to lead the pack
been there, done it, changed the sheets...

YEs, indeed. Problem is, who out there is a true conservative (not a populist, not a libertarian)?
I’m not sure there is one.
Yuck! But I hear you.
And Palin’s a ‘right-wing populist’ rather than a conservative? Were you around for any of Reagan’s campaign rhetoric?
The only route back to conservatism in the Republican party is through the engagement of middle Americans, and Palin and Reagan both seem to have understood this fundamentally.
Boy you missed a HUGE point- I dont care if she is a woman, and that would give us a 2 woman ticket- she is a great CONSERVATIVE
Michelle Bachmann - From Minnesota.
Rudy is not a libertarian. I wish that he was. He is a quasi-Fascist anti-christian control freak.
My point: I’d like her to get elected, and two women—one just a Congressman at that!—isn’t going to do it.
Notice how Huck actually comes in 4th in that poll.
Take a look at Michelle Bachmann
I think Palin/Bachman would win in a huge landslide
Huck is such a goofy 50’s style old fogey in his TV show- no way could he win.
I think she’s great—but I also think you’re deluded. But that’s okay: much better than being a Romney/Huckabee hack!
I’m not for Huck at all, and I’m merely noting that this broader poll brings him in 4th, probably as much as anything for name recognition—not 1st.
