Does this make any sense to anybody outside the Tucson Public School District board of governors? Are the flaws of such a policy not immediately apparent? They are literally going to teach children the consequences of behavior are based on skin color. What a wonderful unifying message of diversity.
Maybe Im the crazy one here; but, it occurs to me, if you are genuinely interested in promoting the idea that everyone is equal and deserving of the same respect, rights, and opportunities, one prerequisite you absolutely positively can not do without is a universal standard of discipline. A kid can sit through as many social studies classes about emancipation, civil rights, and womens sufferage as you can concoct to inflict upon him; but, if he knows his getting caught passing a note will earn two days of detention to Juans one, youre gonna lose him. Chances are, if he didnt have a problem with Mexicans before, hes gonna have one now.

I am sick and tired of hearing and / or reading about this socialist crap. These people are elected officials, recall them or vote them out!!! but noooooo, the sheeple will continue to vote these asshats into office regardless...the time has come, the time is now...throw out the bums, not just the lib, not just the rino’s, but ALL of them...the short, the tall, the big and the small, fire them all
With all due respect, there is nothing particularly socialist about such a policy.
Those implementing and promoting it are no doubt socialists, perhaps without realizing it.
But both their socialism and their enthusiasm for such a policy spring from a single source: their hatred and disdain for America.
I don’t believe most liberals in America are really true believers in socialism. They’re just anti-American and since America is capitalist, they’re in favor of socialism. Their socialism is an effect of their anti-Americanism rather than the other way around.
The neat thing about this, from their POV, is that being anti-American automatically absolves you as an individual of all the sins they claim America is guilty of. So they get to proclaim their personal righteousness by denouncing the sins of their country.
Neat trick.
What a weird blog.
They have a quote of some article somewhere, but don’t give a link to the article, so you can’t really go figure out the entire story.
