The painstakingly legally parsed hearsay statement of a bureaucrat about documents they won’t let the American people see is now an “official certification”?
There are millions of Americans, myself included, who find this far less than satisfying. Such hearsay would not work for any of us in any of the many instances in which documented proof of birth is required.
If it’s so all-fired clear cut as you say, why won’t Obama simply release the long form birth certificate?
BINGO!! That is what a REAL Birth Certificate looks like. Hospital, doctor, wieght, time, etc.
First of all, the certification I was referring was the "certification of live birth" that he showed to Factcheck people, who in turn photographed it and put those photos up on the web. And yes, the certification of live birth is an "official certification."
But the statements from Hawaii officials are corroborating evidence, and I don't see how anyone in his right mind can call them "legally parsed:"
I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of the Hawaii State Department of Health, have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barrack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen
That's about as straightforward as you can get. What would you have her say?
Also, you don't seem to know the definition of the word "hearsay." I suggest you look it up.
It does not matter in the least how much he has spent. The money comes out of campaign funds, provided by Soro$ or whoever else wants to help keep Obama in power and keep the good birther conspiracy going (or both).
1. Unverified information heard or received from another; rumor.
I don't see how anyone in his right mind can call them anything but.
Yup. Which is precisely why Fukino's statement is not hearsay. Or are your reading comprehension skills so bad that you can't even understand a simple definition?
It hasn’t been verified. What part of that definition don’t you understand?
When you’re dealing with births in modern America, verification is carefully provided for. More than for just about any other event.
If it’s so clear-cut, where the documentation?
Oh, I see. So looking at the vital record doesn't constitute verification./sarcasm
I haven’t “looked at the vital record,” and neither have you. You’re trusting the carefuly couched words of a bureaucrat. Hearsay.
Hearsay is testimony from a person who did not whitness something for herself, but is only reporting what someone else whitnessed.
If Fukino hadn't see the vital record for herself, but had only heard someone else's description of it, then her statement would be hearsay.
It's not hearsay because she saw it for herself, and she's reporting on what she saw with her own eyes.
Please explain to me why you think the phrase "Barrack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii" is carefully couched.
What manner of phrasing would you consired not "carefully couched?"
Perhaps he remembers some of the people he worked with. They might or might not remember the white worman and black child. My guess is you will not find anyone who remembers.
IT DOES MATTER on TIME, MONEY SPENT, and all the energies behind such an endeavor, to think otherwise is a sign of a conspiratorial mind lost in delusions that don’t reflect the real world or human behavior...think of how if effects morale in military over this issue???, all the work done coordinating lawyers???, the public outcry???
Think about it.
It is money well spent considering the amount of time, energy, money and political capital wasted by birthers. The use of campaign funds on Obama’s behalf is pretty modest compared to the benefits.
Well, since there are literally dozens of these suits, and we have heard nothing of any other kinds of suits, it isn't terribly "silly" to assume that the majority of the funds were allocated to this issue.
You don't pay legal fees just to deal with lawsuits, especially suits that are thrown out immediately. Just about any serious candidate for public office will require hiring an expensive legal team for a variety of legal needs.
We all understand that. However, in just 6 months, those cannot amount to much, and defending 40 lawsuits does add up pretty quickly. Assuming just 3 attorneys per case, billing 35 hours of work each (not even one full-time week), at just $400/hr (I think the President probably has higher-end folk)... 3 X 35 X 400 X 40 = $1.68 million... not half of the $5 million cited, but the point remains the same: seven-figures spent unnecessarily, if his records are legit.
He never had to defend himself against any of those lawsuits, because they all get thrown out. You're delusional if you think it takes three lawyers 35 hours each to send out a memo that says "this person has no standing, drop the case."
So you truly believe that, in 8 months, he has $5 million in legal fees entrely apart from these suits, but you can’t cite any particulars about what might have run those bills up? Is that what you’re hanging your hat on?
