Why would they need such defenses? Are the Turks suddenly going to start lobbing missiles into Hungary?

He’s replacing a sledge hammer with a dozen tack hammers.

The alternative he’s at least nominally proposing is no more proven than the original system at least in this mission. It’s a politcally palatable alternative.
