Forgive me if I am less than diplomatic here. I am not a fan at all of the radical environmental movement. I’m even less of a fan of radical, Big Government.
Let’s cut to the chase here. The rabid environmentalists have destroyed the economy in the San Joaquin Valley of California. Not only have they destroyed the economy, they have destroyed the lives of tens of thousands of farmers, as well.
According to the California Farm Water Coalition unemployment in parts of the San Joaquin Valley reached 41 percent in August. Over 400,000 acres of some of the richest farm land on earth are now dormant and unplanted. More than one million acres are in danger of destruction. .
These government stooges have created a modern day dust bowl. They have created something the government actually worked hard to educate people against doing again some 75 years ago!

I watched the Hannity Show. I don’t get this.
If the water is in CA and needs to be shipped to these farmers, why doesn’t CA just ship the water and give O the finger?

Was that part of CA originally desert, to? Has water always needed to be piped in? Or does it have natural aquifiers? Just askin’ ‘cuz I don’t know.
The economic devastation on the westside of the valley goes way beyond farmers and farm workers. Everyone who lives or works or does business in those small farm communities depends on farm income for economic survival.
Obama does not give a hoot about some minnow. He is up to destroying the free market.

Turn on the water by State National Guard and let the Fed draw the line in the sand regarding States rights. I never saw Hannity say that at all.
How about a huge huge caravan of trucks transporting water to these farmers.
So, do they want to save the fish or save all that polluting gas from the trucks.

My question is if the pumps have been turned off and the water that would have gone to the farmers is now being pump into the ocean, like the video reported, what prevents the 2” fish from not being pumped into the ocean and lost are destroyed by way of being eaten from ocean dwellings, etc. I mean both ways would be a negative to the 2” fish, right?

The pumps are on state land, the delta is on state land. He could order them turned on then let the feds challenge it.
He is being a wimp and they are all screaming Obama’s fault. Arnold is Allowing this to happen. 10th ammendment and all that.

We are the United STATES of America. Not the Federal government. It’s what the states will allow.
Arnold is letting these people stave because he won’t make a stand. Stop the water from being pumped to the ocean, put it into tankers and ship it there then bill the feds.
California has two huge rivers coming out of the Sierras, one in the north, one in the south. They both empty out in the San Francisco/ Delta area. (gross over-generalization). The San Joaquin River is the southern one, and it waters the San Joaquin Valley, one of the WORLD’s bread-baskets. This water has been cut back 80% or so to SAVE some ‘sardines’ in the Delta. The case was decided on the predicament of 100 FISH, pushed through by the EPA. ONE JUDGE, fearful of the Enviros out here in CA, has mandated this. It is time for an uprising, imho.

I don’t think We the People will let the SJValley be turned into a sandbox for one slimy EPA judge. It is OUR WATER. And the government works FOR us.

It has nothing to do with this smelt, which has survived the pumps since the 1940s when it was brought in from somewhere else, it is not indigenous to CA, and would get along just fine regardless of the pumps, it is about total control of the people and, I think, a land grab attempt by the feds.
I watched Hannity on this and almost gagged when he oh so politely asked Arnold if he was willing to ‘talk’ to Obama.

Real Americans would not let their children go hungry over some stupid judges orders or a 2 in fish. They would band together and go turn the water back on, with weapons in hand if they had to.

Obama’s not losing any sleep over reducing the food supply in America. He will not lose any sleep when the North is caught in an energy shortage and prices sky rocket out of the reach of those on fixed incomes and unemployeed, either.

What they are doing is making any taxpayer that owns property anywhere NEAR water do all sorts of ‘improvements” at their own expense. They’ve changed the zoning laws in many places, so even if you live near a retention pond, you need to basically make your property that abuts it into some sort of ‘Prairie WetLand Safety Zone’ so we EVIL humans aren’t touching any waterways, lest we ruin them. *Rolleyes*
