ABC anchor John Stossel, a libertarian whose work earned him fiercely loyal fans at the same time he caused headaches for the network, is jumping to Fox.
He's trading a much bigger platform for the promise of more time on the air. Stossel will have a weekly show on the Fox Business Network, exploring libertarianism and consumer issues, and make frequent appearances on Fox News Channel, the network said on Thursday.

Good. I hope my social conservative friends will watch and see, after a few months of fascist rule, how compatible libertarians can be.
Really like Stossel and he may bring an ABC viewer or three over to the Fox family. Stossel and Beck have very interesting conversations about the libertarian party, even when I don’t necessarily agree with their positions. New information or a different take on old information is never a bad thing. Good going Fox!

Fox is almost getting a monopoly on counter-culture media.
ABC is still broadcast. They get better ratings than fox news. Still, if Stossel is on every single day and all over fox news beyond that, he’ll have more screen time and ultimately more audience.
O’Reilly is also Libertarian or Independant but, IMO, is not as much of a Patriot as Beck has demonstrated for years.
I didn’t even know Stossel was on ABC, as I don’t watch that for news. I thought he was just another frequent contributor on FNC. Glad he’s coming to FNC, as he seems to have a level head on his shoulders.
I believe he was a part of the 20/20 crew, but I'm not certain. I only watched it if Stossel had been on some other network promoting an upcoming event that was of interest.
O'Reilly doesn't seem to be a libertarian, big or little "L". I think he refers to himself as independent.
Stossel is one of the few investigative reporters left. I wish him well on Fox.

BOR is more of a populist, in my estimation. When it gets right down to it, Bill is more of an O’Reillyist, first, last, and foremost.
I had no idea...62? I have seen him in person...eye candy for sure........and he’s THAT old? OMG
I have a mixed feeling about this. On the one hand, his investigation-style journalism might develop more. On the other hand, many people who watch ABC will not be exposed to his different point of view anymore. He will be more likely preaching to the choir now, instead of offering different takes on many issues to casual viewers of MSM.

Stossel had to leave IMO. His big piece on Canadian health care set to air before the August 15 congressional recess was bumped. My guess is the PTB didn’t want more dissent growing amongst the ‘bitter clingers’ aka the majority of the American public.
The one area FNC was lacking was a real investigative reporter that could put together the research and presentation for powerful stories that need to be told. Stossel is the man for the job.
Congrats to both Stossel and FNC.
My only Libertarian friend is staunchly anti-Conservative. I have no idea why.
