I almost fell off my seat when I heard about this. The U.K. Guardian reports: John McCain stands up for Barack Obama during town hall meeting Obama’s former rival heckled by audience for saying the president respects the US constitution
John S. McCain, you are a schmuck! You are convinced that Barack Obama respects the Constitution? Why? What convinced you of this, Mr. McCain?
Barack Obama doesn’t respect the Constitution, John McCain, and you—unlike your much more courageous running-mate Sarah Palin—didn’t have the balls to say it. What a disgrace.

Just right off the top of my head I know that the estemmed “professor of Constitutional law” doesn’t respect the Constitution because he is on the record saying that it is a “flawed” document consisting of “negative rights.”
And just a small and seemingly trivial example, Zer0 thinks it’s OK to permit ONLY the American families of Cubans to visit that nation.
Not that I want to visit Cuba, but since when can a United States President selectively decree travel bans based 100 percent on family ties or ethnicity?
I wonder what it was that “convinced” him?
So where, John, in the CONSTITUTION, are the authorities for Czars with enforcement power?

Your point is well taken. Yet, McCain is another of many politicians who feels safe enough in his own seat to support the other side in hopes of payback for future legislation. McCain’s political career has seldom been that of a team player and his concept of “representation” is far closer to that of a Liberal then a Conservative.
The surprise ending of his career (to him) could be losing reelection next year.
Its a game with these politicians.They proclaim to be on different sides when in fact they are against the people.How in the hell does mcnutts square his statement that bozo respects the constitution?No rational man can do that.They are all part of the problem and are setting up more and more programs to ebb away more of our rights.Its all about total control of the populace.

I’m as convinced that obama respects the Constitution as I am that he’s a patriot, that he values the secret ballot and honest elections, and that the druggie in our White House loves individual freedom. As for McCain, I’m convinced that if the Dems had run anyone more acceptable than obama, I would not have voted GOP.

Certainly taking over private enterprises (GM, etc.) financial institutions, breaking contracts with bond holders, and somehow contorting the very clear and precise text of the US Constitution to read a “right to health care” fits right in with the RINOs interpretation of the US Constitution.

I’m not happy that Obama won, but I’m glad McCain lost. The Republican party would have been in worse shape than it is now if he was in the White House.
I agree that it would’ve been bad for the Republican party if McCain had won. We would’ve been stuck with a bigger RINO in office than even GWB and the conservative movement would’ve been hit hard in the next presidential election.
