Brian Lamb Shows Why Conservatives Are The Only Real Liberals
NewsReal Blog ^ | August 29, 2009 | David Horowitz

I flipped on C-Span 2 at seven this morning to see Nation writer D.D. Guttenplan promote his hagiography of the Soviet agent and Communist camp follower I.F. Stone, to a group of aging Vermont radicals with similar political fantasies. In the break, C-Span advertised its segment at 9 featuring Guttenplan's boss, Nation editor Katrina vanden Heuvel, which turned out to be a panel promoting socialism along with a Nation collection of diatribes against the Bush years and the free market economy. In between there was a conservative French economist, Gary Sorman talking about his new book. Every time I watch C-Span I am struck by its fairness and by the fact that only a conservative Republican and private corporations could have created it. C-Span of course is owned by the private cable companies and is the design of Brian Lamb, a Nixon White House operative who was dispatched by Nixon in the early years of PBS to attempt to get its directors to obey the law that created it and make it "fair, objective and balanced" -- to use the words of its authorization act. Of course, Lamb failed because liberals are closet totalitarians who can't stand to have a conservative in the room. Witness the thirty year purge of conservatives from university faculties to just take one example.

Brian Lamb is a great person and is responsible for the good work that C-Span has done over the years.

Fact: A Liberal in the 1700’s was an Anti-Statist (Anti-Monarchist), but today a Liberal is a Statist (Marxist/Communist).

Do these people not realize that if they PUSH socialism, they're going to have to live under it? Or do they think that, as members of the elite, they get to live by a different set of rules? (Our government politicians apparently have their own health care system, and won't have to deal with our soon-to-be socialized system.)

Exactly. We've done a flip flop, but the everyday Liberal is too stupid to know that.

Nonsense.

Lamb was responsible for the changing format in the morning (and most popular) segment. There were journalists of every stripe, and callers who were informed and interesting.

He did an interview about it years ago, where he said he changed it because there was too much “hate” coming thru from callers. Exact words.

Of course, that means too many Republicans.

Because for the last 10 years.....such love and seriousness comes thru on C-span in the morning/s.

but the everyday Liberal is too stupid to know that.

And judging by how they behave on the web they Must be the most bitter & unhappy people in the world.

Unless they are being paid to do so, a real possiblity, the Obamabots that inhabit Twitter are the most vile foul speaking nutcases I have ever met.

Always in you face and fail to ever make any sense past talking points. Not an active cell of gray matter invoked past that. The reason is that there is no logical way to defend what they espouse.

Fairness Doctrine, how's that working at PBS and NPR? State Universities? Government schools K-12?

Yeah, the government deciding fairness in the media. What could possibly go wrong?
