All eyes were on Michael Vick -- for all of six plays.
Playing his first NFL game since his release from prison, the Eagles quarterback got a standing ovation in a half-empty stadium, avoided any ugly protests and completed four passes for 19 yards.

"...except killing any more dogs", he added. "I'm DONE with that!".
Seriously, good for him. I hope he stays on the straight and narrow and continues to make progress at turning his life around.
Now to get the bigger issue. It's funny how the same media that bashed Vick (rightfully so) are worshiping Ted Kennedy. OK so let me get this straight. It's ok to kill someone, but not dogs???
Ugh. Just as i figured would happen, that he would get a standing ovation. I don’t mind so much that he is playing again, but why a standing ovation? This seems to happen with almost all controversial athletes (except for guys like David Rocker, who can never be forgiven apparently). Hire prostitutes, come back to standing ovations. Cheat on your wife and be accused of rape, come back to standing ovations. Maybe that kid who tortured cats, maybe after he serves his time everyone will give him a standing ovation when he shows up for work at some fast food joint.
The epitome of the decivilization of America. Sports and money over decency.
I think that Vick, Burris & Stallworth present a picture of where NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell would like to take the league -- into social activism. It's obvious that the league wants to use Vick to make a statement about animal abuse. Stallworth may be used as as a poster child about Drinking & Driving. Burris -- who may never play again -- seems to get the booby-prize. The NFL, ESPN, et. al. are anti-gun. Burris is going to get the heaviest penalty when all is said & done.
There are going to be linebackers in every away game that the Eagles play hoping to hit Vick so hard that his helmet flies off with his decapitated head still inside.
Stadiums are going to be playing 'WHO LET THE DOGS OUT' every time that Vick gets sacked. Linebackers are going to be standing over him shouting 'Put on a leash, because you just got DOGGED!' and making dog-antic gestures while Vick is laying on his back, crosseyed, seeing birds.
Fans opposing the Eagles should expect, and deserve, no less. Wait until you hear the thunderous game-delaying applause every time Vick gets crushed like a bug. It'll be merciless. They'll probably have a special segment on ESPN Sunday night NFL wrapup just to cover the hits that Vick takes. I only wish that the psychotic pain-machine Bill Romanowski was still playing with his QB-seeking targeting computer set on Michael Vick.
The Philadelphia Eagles are the team to hate this year. I hope that they get thrashed all the way through the season.
Burris should be free, either off scott-free or with miminal fine and probation. There's no legit law against him carrying a gun, but his behvior was reckless. He, however, already paid a high proce for it.
Stallworth should still be jail. There's no way to get 0.126 BAC with only four shots over a few hours. He either tanked them down just before he left or more likely he was skunked form more than a eight drinks of liquor. The DA is culpable of misprision of felony at least, imo.
Still, I think Stallworth should be allowed to play: an accident is an accident, and the family took the settlement. I do despise the scum who talk down the regular joe getting off shift who got run down by a spoiled rich sports star driving drunk, so as to make their sports "hero" be guiltless.
Vick is a cur. You do not get your mind right in the the short time he has served. Not from that kind of torture of living beings. He should be banned from pro-sports until he is 40, at least.
