I do wish there wouldn't have been folks running from the scene. That is disheartening.
Not disheartening, not unexpected. Troops all the time survive major bombardments in large numbers where seemingly no one could have survived. Just look at WWII battles.
I console myself with the knowledge that the guys running from the scene must have had a brown substance running down their legs - and it sure ain’t chocolate.
(And do you think they’ve gotten their hearing back yet?)
