No matter whether its Brits or Americans. American’s will be vilified for the jubilation just the same.

I do wish there wouldn't have been folks running from the scene. That is disheartening.

Not disheartening, not unexpected. Troops all the time survive major bombardments in large numbers where seemingly no one could have survived. Just look at WWII battles.
