Then a young couple is interviewed and the lady is handicapped, and she states that (after her husband says that “the Left is violent”) they pushed her so that she could not return to her chair.

Let me put this politely. Screw you! Myself and a lot of people my age will be the deciding factor in the coming conflict. Over 50, ex-infantry, and still able to kick ass including yours, if the time comes.
Nobody appointed you Commander in Chief of the opposition, and sure as hell nobody will with that stupid ass attitude. Of course, age/race/wealth division is a classic tactic of the communist. Makes me wonder...

That crippled lady should never have been at that meetings for reasons stated in the story. She would have been safe at home.
No one seems to be understanding what I am trying to relay…or pretend not to want to understand. I’ve been there, seen it, done it. If it continues, which I hope it does, this is no place for children or folks at a certain age. Folks at a certain age can relay much wisdom, but should not be physically involved in the event they can endanger younger folks’ lives.

I think CragslaMangoTreeLawyer ment what he (I am assuming the poster is a male) said in a well-meaning way. Just a word to the wise - anyone who shows up should prepare for a physical fight - and in true bully fashion, the very old, physically disabled, ladies who look like they can't fight back, etc. will be pushed and shoved and knocked down.
Myself, I am 53 going on 54 and I want to be there - hearing about this stuff going on to bully people from speaking out just makes my blood boil.

I cannot explain this since U.S. citizens have been involved in defending our country only twice on our land. The second time was the civil war. Therefore, everybody is new at this.

That is a stupid comparison, but I'll play the game anyway.
First, every American has a right to be at a meeting with their representative. They have a right not to be physically intimidated by anyone while exercising their First Amendment rights.
Second, if you think that age somehow makes a difference in the exercising of our rights you need to go somewhere like the DU and hang out there.
Third, there were a couple of over 50 troops with me and I did my best not to drop too far behind when they were in the lead. I would put the guys I served with, no matter what their age today against anybody. Period.
Fourth, there are plenty of Father/Son/Daughter and even Mother/Son/Daughter combos in the field today.
Last, since they aren't holding any of the Town Hall Meeting in Panama, what the hell does it matter to you who goes and who doesn't.

Regarding what I think you are saying, that the Townhalls could get ugly and young and old should not attend; well, first of all, no one can say what could or would happen or if and when something happens with large crowds. I think your age “recommendations” are rather arbitrary. Young and old (as you define it approx. 45+) should be there as THIS WILL AFFECT EVERYONE!!!
