The lawyer of Henry Louis Gates Jr., the Harvard professor at the center of the current national race controversy, was a mentor of both Barack and Michelle Obama and served on the president’s black advisory council.

"I may be a little biased here, and I don't know all the facts, but the Cambridge Police clearly acted stupidly."

Obama let his bias and underlying feelings be exposed with that statement.

In truth, underneath the sheen, and the thin venier...behind the TOTUS, Obama is just like Gates, Wright, Ayers, etc.

And, IMHO, that is the most revealing thing about the issue with Gates. He is so clearly another person and instance of a pattern that fits Obama's other "close friends".

Racist, hate filled, angry, people who detest traditional America and the free market and whose seething hatred is only just below the surface...and in some cases always out in the open. Frank Davis, Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Jeremiah Wright, Henry Louis Gates, even his own wife, Michelle (by her own admission)...and the list goes on and on.

There is a clear pattern here that the MSM not only knows, but refuses to report. And that is because most of them share this hatred.

Obama and all those pushing his radical agenda are abject marxist ideologues. Their "fundamental; change" is nothing more than a destruction of the American free market and fundamental republican principle.

Ogletree gained national prominence in 1991, when he served as Anita Hill’s attorney during the controversial Senate confirmation hearings at which Hill accused Thomas of sexual harassment.

I knew there was a reason why I intensely dislike this "mentor"...

Yep...it must piss them off big time that the American people are not buying their BS anymore about Obama. People are seeking the truth elsewhere on the internet and radio. The corrupt american media has been doing everything in their power to protect and promote Obama, yet his poll numbers are beginning to tank!

Can you recall any member of the white advisory council of any past American president, living or dead?

More info from link:

“Charles Ogletree Jr. (right, with Michelle Obama), himself a Harvard University professor, is closely linked to the Black Panthers and to radical black ideology. He is a key member of the reparations movement and once pursued the possibility of bringing a class action lawsuit to win reparations for descendants of African slaves.”

“Ogletree is closely linked to radical black activism. As a student in 1970 at Stanford University near San Francisco, a center of black radicalism at the time, Ogletree organized an Afrocentric dormitory. He edited a campus Black Panther newspaper called The Real News and traveled to Africa and Cuba as part of student activist groups. Ogletree attended nearly every day of the trial of Black Power activist and Communist Angela Davis.”

LOOKING FOR REDRESS FOR YEARS OF SLAVERY - * AFRICAN-AMERICANS AT REPARATIONS AWARENESS DAY FOCUS ON THEIR CAMPAIGN TO WIN COMPENSATION
West County Times (Richmond, CA) - Sunday, February 18, 2001
Author: Tony Hicks
OAKLAND Billy Goree has no doubt that in his lifetime, African-Americans will win reparations for the effects of slavery.

“We’re oppressed people and we’re addressing it now,” said Goree, a member of the Commemorative Committee for the Black Panther Party. “We’ve got to go to the government and get people’s support. Yes, we’re going to make it. As long as I’m on this planet, I’m going to fight for it.”

Goree manned one of many literature tables in the lobby of McClymonds High School here, the site of Saturday’s Reparations Awareness Day.

Hosted by the National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America, the daylong series of workshops, discussions and entertainment focused on spreading the word and shaping a plan to obtain reparations for the descendants of slaves.

“We’ve never come together as people and decided what we want to do,” said Isaac Taggart of the coalition’s Malcolm X Bay Area Organizing Committee. “This is a national endeavor.”

The movement seeks reparations similar to those given to Holocaust victims and Japanese-Americans sent to internment camps during World War II.

One of the goals at Saturday’s meeting attended by more than 100 people over the course of the day was to outline an action plan and determine the form in which reparations should come.

Omowale Satterwhite, the coalition’s western regional representative, said it’s difficult to put a dollar figure on the suffering of generations of African-Americans.

He said the figure “floating around” among African-American scholars and financial experts is between $77 trillion and $100 trillion.

Rather than pay it in disposable income that would be spent outside the African-American community, Satterwhite said it would be best used in the form of property tax relief or community improvement projects.

“You’re on a historical path, and you get knocked off that path,” Satterwhite said of slavery. “How do you get back on track?”

The day was also a celebration of African heritage, with many dressed in traditional African clothing. A drum troupe played in between sessions, and fourth- and fifth-graders from the clown troupe at Oakland’s Prescott Elementary School danced 7 feet high on stilts.

“It’s sacred,” said attendee Rain Poetress. “It’s beyond words.”

As in Oakland, groups all over the nation were scheduled to come together Saturday to adopt a “belief statement” and action plan. The plan would be among the first planks in the campaign.

Satterwhite said he expects the group to soon file a lawsuit officially asking for reparations and “posing the question.” The legal drive is led by Harvard law professor Charles Ogletree and a group of high-powered attorneys.

PROMINENT BLACK SCHOLARS JOIN PUSH FOR REPARATIONS
Boston Globe - Tuesday, February 29, 2000
Author: Tatsha Robertson, Globe Staff
In a sign that the issue of paid reparations for American slavery could be moving from the fringes of black political debate into the mainstream civil rights agenda, a group of prominent black academics is looking into a possible class-action lawsuit on behalf of descendants of those injured by slavery.

Harvard Law School professor Charles Ogletree Jr., Harvard Afro-American Studies chairman Henry Louis Gates Jr., and many other black intellectuals say they are considering legal and legislative action to secure reparations for the descendants of enslaved blacks.

Other groups, such as Japanese-Americans interned during World War II, have turned to the courts to right historical wrongs. Activists since Emancipation have argued that America should be made to pay for the horrors it visited upon its first black residents. But until now, the issue has largely been championed by a small band of politicians and left-wing activists, and the country’s potential debt for slavery has not been tested in the courts.

“We are looking at what’s the viability of legal action and political viability of legislative action, and then more morally, how can we get beyond the history of slavery to think of ways to comprehensively remedy it,” Ogletree said.

Gates said he is planning to ask the board of the Harvard’s W.E.B Du Bois Institute to examine the issue.

What’s up with Obama secrecy? // Pullout quote pullout quote pullout qoute pullout quote.
Chicago Sun-Times (IL) - Thursday, September 9, 2004
Author: Lynn Sweet
Democratic Senate candidate Barack Obama is running two campaigns.

One you see.

One you don’t.

Obama ‘s campaign is hiding practically all of Obama ‘s out-of-state treks. Obama ‘s campaign schedule — when there is one — usually does not include stops outside of Illinois. Obama ‘s manipulative, cagey campaign does not want you to know the whole picture. Obama has a passion for secrecy when it comes to raising political money or traveling to another state for a public appearance. It is not becoming of a man on the verge of a promising Senate career who is already nationally prominent. Obama is better than to preside over a stealth campaign.

His own campaign blog, with one exception, covers only in-state activities. The calendars on Obama ‘s Web site never put on non-Illinois events. But the reality is Obama is going out of state. It’s not a crime. It’s what big-time candidates do. Why bother to create and maintain a fiction that Obama ‘s $9.8 million enterprise (as of June 30) is just an Illinois venture?

While it is not easy to keep track of Obama , he leaves clues. Obama ‘s campaign is oblivious, apparently, that because of Obama ‘s skyrocketing fame, cemented with his keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention in Boston in July, he gets tracked when he travels, whether by the burgeoning blogging community or local press. Still, why should it be so hard?

In recent weeks alone, Obama has traveled to Ohio, Texas, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Alabama and Minnesota for fund-raisers and speeches. Obama ‘s campaign, with a few exceptions, will not volunteer advance information about any major fund-raising events, whether in Chicago or Washington.

(snip)

Obama can’t stomach having it both ways. Obama is doing nothing differently than any other major candidate would do; he is just being more sneaky about it. Obama is filing the required disclosure reports with the Federal Election Commission, but Obama will not volunteer where he has gone to find the many $10,000 donors who made his candidacy viable and who are the people who helped organize the events.

While the vast majority of Obama ‘s campaign cash comes from Illinois, Obama has raised a significant amount of money — 24 percent of his cash — from out-of-state donations. Obama , for example, does not want you to know that last month he collected money at a cocktail fund-raiser in the town of Chilmark, on Martha’s Vineyard, the famous vacation island off Massachusetts’ Cape Cod. The trip seemed very worthwhile. Obama combined it with an appearance on a panel to discuss the 50th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision to desegregate schools in the country, moderated by Harvard Law School professor Charles Ogletree .

He would never have been elected had the media been honest about what we did know...much else what he was and still is hiding.

It’s like a bad nightmare. We have the first Marxist POTUS in the history of the United States(and a racist to boot).

“Last night, 60 Minutes ran a segment called “World of Trouble,” which featured the unethical actions of liberal moguls Herb and Marion Sandler…founders of the so-called Center for Responsible Lending. You might remember them from this controversial SNL skit [removed from YouTube].

The Sandlers have become heroes to some for their so-called Center for Responsible Lending group, but as you will see, they made millions by pushing the same sub-prime lending practices that destroyed the mortgage industry.

Moreover, homeowners were bilked by the Sandlers into engaging in loans where their payments didn’t even cover the interest on the loan — so these poor people got poorer and poorer every time they made a house payment.”

Thanks for the link! Why the republicans have not gone after the vast left wing conspiracy is beyond me! They should have been screaming from the rooftops about who is responsible for this whole economic disaster and all of Obama direct personal ties to the whole thing!
