Colin Powell Says Palin is "Fascinating" But Was Not Ready to be President - Video 7/28/09

Here is video of Colin Powell on Larry King Live tonight where he called Gov. Sarah Palin a "fascinating" person, but said she was not ready to be President of the United States when John McCain put her on the ticket last year. He mentioned that she will be speaking next month at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, and said she bears watching to see if she has political intentions in her resigning as Alaska's Governor. . . . . . She may or may not have been “ready” to be President but she was clearly better qualified than was Hussein.

Hey Colin, your buddy Obama couldn’t run a Chevron station yet you endorsed him. I’d rather have Sarah Palin who has COMMON SENSE and LOVES America over a Marxist pig who shakes hands with tyrants and wants to turn our health care system into Canada’s

Dammit, I wish I could be there.

Be prepared my brethren and sistren. I wouldn't put it past some lackey in the Flomax media to trot out Nancy Reagan and get her opinion on Sarah Palin.

My guess is Nancy is probably not very keen on her.

Why wouldn’t Nancy support Sarah. Michael Reagan already came out and said that she is his Dad with a dress on. If Sarah does attend the Reagan Library event, Michael is gonna introduce her from what I read, but it is not confirmed she will be there. I would love to be there too. It would be a dream come true to meet her

She was plenty qualified.

She has enough knowledge, and most importantly, she has the wisdom, and fidelity to morals and honor necessary to be President as has already been shown by her behavoir as Governor of Alaska.

Oh, you already got a ticket for the event? Yeah, I figured that since it was a closed door event, they wouldn’t allow flash photography. Do you have any info about whether she will be there, because John Ziegler said today(he is attending the event and speaking) that she has not confirmed that she is going and that this might be a set-up by the media, if she doesn’t go, the media will say she flaked on another event, even though she herself never said she was going. I really hope she goes, it would be a great opportunity for her to not only visit the Library, but to speak out against Obama’s Marxist agenda

Why wouldn’t Nancy support Sarah.

Nancy is not exactly a fire-breathing Conservative. Sarah Palin is probably too Pro-Life for her. And Sarah Palin is most likely way too Anti-Embryonic-Stem Cell Research for Nancy.

She spoke out against President Bush's ban on government funding of embryonic stem cell research. She bought into the argument that embryonic stem cells my cure Alzheimer's one day.

There have been other Conservative issues that Nancy has taken a Moderate to Liberal view on.

If anybody has access to Sarah Palin, I would just suggest.....suggest mind you....that she be prepared for this eventuality.

Have a kind response at the ready.

OBAMA:

2 actual years in the US Senate (Began his presidency campaign start of 2007)
8 years as IL state Senator (Again did zilch) Prior to that, leftist community organizer, rabble rouser, ACORN lawyer and God knows what else

PALIN:

Selected as Vice-Presidential candidate
2.5 years Governor of Alaska, Commander of AK National Guard
1 year appointed as head of state Energy Commission
Ran but lost for Lt Governor
6 years as Mayor
4 years as city-councilwoman Devoted Wife, devout Christian, Mother, Grandmother, known in her community

Who would make the better President, Powell?

Yeah, I forgot about those things. But I think Nancy will respect her for supporting her husband. Remember, Sarah is VERY Pro Reagan, she mentioned Reagan during her VP debate and has also mentioned in the past how she adores Reagan. I think it will be wonderful if Sarah can talk to Nancy and just talk. I’d love to be a fly in the room during that conversation.

Powell shows his bias by saying Palin isn't ready to be president but Obozo the community organizer is. His one paragraph resume listed his days in an Indonesian grammar school as experience in foreign policy. No one should be surprised when he bows down to the Saudis or kisses Iranian ass.

Colin has proven to be an immense disappointment.

Contrary to many FR opinions I do respect Colin Powell as far as my experience, that is militarily. Notwithstanding all the Plame stuff which is above my pay grade.

But I think he really is misdirected by being a DC insider, and that goes for the BO support, because BO was the furtive choice of the CFR and associated cabals. General Powell is a CFR'er. How obvious is that?

These are truly elitist people who do a lot of global insider dealing, GWB included. Sarah is NOT part of that crowd, so "they" really do not consider her as someone to support. BO on the other hand is a great (idiotic) front man who "they" can advise and guide. It is as simple as using his Ego, like a Producer uses Brad Pitt.

When Sarah Palin comes on though, because of her values, there's going to be so much support, the CFR, and the Harvard crowd are going to look like the true jerks they are.

The problem is, with Obamacare and Cap and Trade, it may be too late. And "they" know that.

Just for instance: Obamacare executes in 2013 right? Hmmm, after the next Presidential election, so its impact is not felt until afterwards. But even more, after the current congress reps (2008 the latest), for instance the blue dogs, have guaranteed their six year qualification for retirement (the 2012 election would guarantee it). In other words they can be had.

Don't think there's some sinister manipulation of we the taxpayers going on?

It will probably never happen since racial politics has proven to be so successful for the rats but seems to me there is a possibility that after zero proving he’s incompetent that many voters will no longer be voting while guilty. Maybe the whole euphoria over electing a guy simply because he seems to be a “cool dude” will be pounded into the ground for a long time.

My sister voted for him and is now complaining that he promised things that he apparently has no intent to deliver. She’s a civil engineer by education and a senior IT project manager at a well known company so if someone as intelligent as she can be taken in then I figure she’s a good example of how the jerk got elected. She now seems interested in Sarah.... with a little help from me. :-)

Who, exactly, is ready to be President at any given time? Clearly Obama was not ready for prime time, even when propped up with his teleprompters, 300 advisors, and staff of Chicago and New York communists.

Powell just relishes his role a bit too much as the "Wise Man", the "King Maker", almost as much as Obama relishes his presumptive role as "King of the Known Universe".

This is elitism at its worst.

Would Palin have ordered Israel to stop building houses? Would Palin have taken the side of a Chavez wannabe, or abused the high station of her office to attack policemen and radio talk show hosts? Would she have accepted, as a gift, an Oval Office desk made of Slave ship wood, and carried slavery and racial problems as a huge chip on her shoulder?

Every single day it becomes even more clear that Obama was not ready for this office which arguably is still the most important office in the world. It was above his paygrade.
