I was just surprised he didn't blame the arrest of Gates on Rush Limbaugh and Republicans that are standing in the way of a big tent, Lets just see if Mr. Powell has anything negative to say about the President for his "stupidly" comment...

Good point! I’d say that 99.999% of the racism he experienced came from the left.

How does the liberal know it was racial? Maybe it was because he is an idiot?

He’s a RINO.

I wish the democrat plantation dwellers would ask themselves a couple of very simple questions.

Why do you believe the evil white republicans want to “keep you down”? What purpose does it serve? Do you really think we want to keep you on welfare and support you for your whole lives? What possible reason could we have for wanting that? Don’t you think we would rather have you help carry the burden of the truly needy?

Gee, didn’t George H.W. Bush racially profile him when he picked him to be the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff? Oh, but he won’t complain about that type of racial profiling.

““also”? That assumes Gates was profiled and he wasn’t.”

Bingo!
Thats exactly what I was thinking.
A policeman was called to investigate what looked like a break in, without the caller stating what race the people doing the breaking in were, so there could be no racial profiling. It was Gates who proceeded to fly off the handle, verbally abuse the police officer, and invite him outside where he promised to show the officer “yo momma”.
Where is the racial profiling at, except from Gates and 0bama?

Could there have been "profiling" going on when 2 white couples were set upon by around 50 black teens in Akron?

See: http://www.ohio.com/news/50172282.html

To me, all the profiling crap is just like racism and discrimination and intolerance... i.e. as the minority, THEY can never be guilty of it.

Face it, we all get racially profiled all the time. People look at me and draw erroneous conclusions, too. Deal with it. Show them they’re mistaken.

Anybody here ever go out to eat and feel invisible? You sit and wait and wait and wait. Others come and get served and even leave before you even get water?

Just about everybody has been profiled. Remember being watched in stores when you were a teenager?

It is unacceptable that people whine when they have had so much of the good that there is to partake of in this country. Position, respect, power, money. If they knew how they appear they would just stop it. They embarrass themselves. They should be ridiculed.

They had guns drawn as well. Finally had chance to show them the invite and they apologized and let me go after stopping me for 20 minutes and making me late. POLICE HAVE TO PROFILE!!!!!!!! GET OVER IT AND LET THEM DO THEIR JOB!!!!!

I tried calling Sharpton and Jackson but they wouldn't help me. sarc/off

I think the cop in this case was racially profiled, by the prof and the president and quite a few others in between.

What a surprise when he turned out to be nothing like they assumed he was, and nothing like they tried to paint him.

There was racial profiling going on in this case, and it was the opposite of what was pretended.

Good God! And the Akron police aren't sure it's a hate crime? WTF? This is what it must be like, "Livin' under da black man's rule," as that eloquent and erudite member of the New Black Panthers put it.

As for Powell, if anyone remembers America in the bad old days, you can bet he has been “profiled” in the negative way from time to time. I don’t doubt him.

He rose above it and has everything to be proud of. At one time he could have been president, he was well thought of as the architect of a successful military campaign, he was well-spoken, and apparently professional. Had he thrown his hat in the ring he could probably have had the Republican nomination hands down. Why exactly he didn’t do it I’m not sure. I know the stated reason, but you always wonder what the back story was.

He had a lot of respect across the board, but he lost it along the way. He betrayed GW, backing away from him when he needed all the support he could get. He betrayed him again in the Libbey case, not to mention hanging Libbey himself out to dry when he knew the truth of the matter.

Then he threw his support to Obama when, again, his party needed all the support they could get, and gave his support to an open leftist for reasons that don’t really make any sense coming from a supposed Republican. I admit, I toyed with the idea of not voting when the candidate turned out to be McCain, but there is a far cry between grudging support for your party’s unworthy candidate, versus enthusiastic support for someone who is against everything you supposedly stand for.

So Powell has gone down a few notches in my eyes in the last couple of years, and its all self-inflicted.

Excellent points!

It’s a lot easier to hoodwink a person if they are expecting to receive something for nothing - like free government money. The “Great Society” CREATED generations of poverty and dependency.
