All of Canada was in shock last Thursday when police in Kingston, Ontario, announced they were charging the mother, father and 18-year-old son of an Afghan family with killing four people. While horrifying enough, the news that stunned Canadians the most was the identity of their innocent victims: their own three daughters and the Muslim husband’s first wife.
“The victims’ lives were cut short by their own family,” said Kingston police chief, Stephen Tanner, who described his police force as “greatly saddened” at the “needless and senseless loss of human life.” Charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder are father Mohammad Shafi, mother Tooba Mohammad Shafi and a son, Hamed Mohammed Shafi. The three accused were arrested last Wednesday morning when on their way to the airport in Montreal where they lived.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not against freedom of religion. Islam is not a religion. It is mainly a political construct. And an ever growing cancer.

Years ago, before 9/11, there was a story about the FBI investigating a man - also Muslim - for possible terrorist activities. They’d wiretapped his home and would listen to each day’s recording the next day. The man was heard arguing with his teenage daughter for dating, working, and dressing in Western style. One day, the agent listened to the previous day’s tape and heard the man and his wife murdering her, all caught on tape.
Lest anyone think the above is an urban legend, I just searched and found it quickly.

No urban legend. I remember it well. It was horrifying. They could hear the child’s screams on the tape.

Unfortunately, this is occurring with such regularity in the UK and Canada that it’s no longer making shocking news. There is one things immigrants are deadly scared of-denaturalization and deportation.
All western nations must do is to adopt a few sensible laws. If an immigrant is found guilty of a felony he/she is subject to immediate and automatic deportation.
If the defendant(s) is a naturalized citizen, he/she is subject to automatic de-naturalization and deportation.
Watch how this will all end if such laws are enacted.

I remember watching it on one of the primetime news shows. I can still remember her photo and (unfortunately) her screams as she was being murdered by her own parents.
I think the author meant “get used to it” in the sense that we’ll have to face up to the fact that this is what we have chosen to import in the name of diversity and multiculturalism. So long as we continue to allow immigration by backwards people from backwards cultures (but, of course, all cultures are “equal”) then we will have to deal with the reality of what comes with those quaint cultures and religious beliefs.
We have got to stop feeding into this insanity by accepting the term "honour killing" as being descriptive of this crime."Honour killing" is contradictio in termini, an oxymoron.
There is no "honour" in murder. A fortiori where the victim is a dependent of the perpetrator, entitled to his affection and protection, and the crime is often savage, cruel and brutal.
Call it murder most foul. Call it heinous. Call it intolerable in our society and among mankind in general. Don't abuse the word "honour" to describe it.
BTW:
The article claims that the crime sounds in patriarchy. Not so. A patriarch has a solemn protective duty to his family, sept or clan that is all the more onerous for the fact that he is the patriarch.The crime sounds in tyranny.

FACT: No, we don't have to "get used to it." Murder is murder and murderers will be arrested, tried, convicted just like any other murderer.
There is no "honor" in "honor killings," but I personally do not want to see the term changed. It's easier to gather statistics on Muslims killing Muslims in the West and/or democratic countries by searching the terms: honor killing, honor killings, honour killing, and honour killings.
Also, by keeping the term "honor killing" intact; muslims, who do care about muslims killing other muslims; might actually clean up this problem. Maybe.
