In order to maximize effectiveness, the 'Going Galt' plan to 'call in conservative' on July 30 needs some major adjustments. The plan as it now stands has some logistical problems that need to be corrected. If the goal is to force Washington to take notice of the rage of citizens around the country, any protest must have maximum visibility, participation, and persistence. I am not certain that only one day will do it.
Company I currently work for would effectively shut down completely for the day if everyone called in conservative.
How is this for an idea...
Businesses stop paying quarterly taxes.
Pay at the end of the year, and take the penalty.
It’s much less than the interest that can be earned on the money in your own investments.
that should get their attention.
Shutting down private enterprise is not the answer.
If everyone who voted for Reagan would cancel their cable television and inform the company that they would only resubscribe if a FOX-only package is offered, the left would die overnight. It’s only the DBM that got us in this fix and nothing will undo it but the end of the statist media. If no such package is offered, just stay totally off cable. Keep your internet, of course.
Sorry, not using my vacation for this. Set up a tea party, and I’ll come.
Too late, we’re already off cable, and satellite, and antenna. We got the vouchers for digital (starve the beast), installed the devices, but of course they don’t work (I knew this going in since it is a government program, but the wife wanted to try anyway). So we, like our grand-sires, have no TV at all. They gather dust, or are used to play VCRs and DVDs. Be-Dee-be-dee, That’s all folks.
Pay at the end of the year, and take the penalty.

With the inflation that’s coming it would probably be a money saver...
Going Galt for one day will cause only a minor irritation. Gotta go Galt in the long term to truly begin starving the beast.
I’m slowly building a network of tax free trading partners where all goods and services are paid for under the table or by pure trade.
Obviously its nearly impossible to live entirely tax free but if we can all eliminate as little as 10% of our own “tax footprint” we can make the government feel that pain.
get netflix, it’s great. You obviously have internet so you can watch movies over your link also.
I think it won’t work, and the more it is publicized, the less good it will do. Remember when Gingrich let the budgets run out? I thought it was one of the greatest days in US history. The federal government hasn’t got the money to screw anybody today . . .
But they vilified him in the press for it and the nanny state recoiled at the thought that someone took away their entitlements.
