Posted on 06/20/2009 5:25:32 PM PDT by Checkers
Am I an old fart or am I right to be pissed that some jackass is skateboarding down the halls of the White House while all this Iranian shit is going down?
We truly have succumbed to the idiocy of the MTV/Mountain Dew/Road Rules backward hat and baggy short culture. Did I miss something, or is the White House the future set for the next Real World? Where are the wallet chains? Is Hot Topic handling our foreign policy? Obama should be grounded for a week for letting Tony Hawk play in OUR house. Where in hell are the adults?
Look: Tony Hawk is in his mid forties. He's a grown man...and he skateboards. Could you imagine your dad or anyone who lived during World War II treating a man who skateboards with anything less than scorn and ridicule?
Right now, people are risking their lives for the glimmer of freedom, and Tony Hawk is in the White House tweeting about Frosted Flakes.
Someone please dig up Reagan. I'd take a dead leader with balls over a living camp counselor who wants all the cool kids to like him.
What a screaming joke.

With you 100%.
We are fast-tracking to African third-world status.
democrats. . .they will destroy this great nation.
Spot on! ;-)
Dick Cheney is an adult, he’s not VP anymore............but when he was he was someone who took his responsibilities seriously. As was President Bush.
Glad I’m not the only one who had these same thoughts. Said the same thing to my wife last night.
Totally agree with Gutfield and you. I’ve been outraged over this latest manifestation of how this idiot and his equally cretinous wife are dragging down the Presidency and now the White House.
I guess you and me are the only ones that are pissed that my white house is being used as a college dorm.
What would President Reagan say? I think we know...
We view the current situation in [Iran] in the gravest of terms, particularly the increasing use of force against an unarmed population and violations of the basic civil rights of the [Iranian] people. Violence invites violence and threatens to plunge [Iran] into chaos.
The people of [Iran] are giving us an imperishable example of courage and devotion to the values of freedom in the face of relentless opposition. Left to themselves, the [Iranian] people would enjoy a new birth of freedom. But there are those who oppose the idea of freedom, who are intolerant of national independence, and hostile to the values of democracy and the rule of law. ( ) [T]he torch of liberty is hot. It warms those who hold it high. It burns those who try to extinguish it.
We call upon all free people to join in urging the Government of [Iran] to reestablish conditions that will make constructive negotiations and compromise possible.
President Reagan said that back in 1981 when the Polish people had enough of communism and wanted to throw off their shackles. Yet Hussein Obama stays virtually silent on this current issue in Iran showing what a coward he is. He is effectivly voting "Present".
I agree! I am very mad!
With the Adults Out of The House , anything can Happen.
LOL - I’m right behind ya on this one!!
1 vote for the old fart,
You are not alone in your outrage. But what do we do with it? I feel so powerless. And I don’t like it!
It reflect the chief slacker's disrespect for America. People should have listened when Jeremiah Wright spoke. Obama did.
i have to admit my mouth fell open when i saw that picture, i just could not believe me eyes!
Ann Coulter was on I think last night’s show. Very funny.
Excellent.... You know I teach my kids that skating in the house is not appropriate and that they need to learn discipline and self control. I guess the Obama’s have a different message for America.
I just walked into the den and saw Shep Smith interviewing someone. IS IT MY IMAGINATION OR DID HE DYE HIS HAIR TODAY WITH WHAT LOOKS LIKE JET-BLACK LIQUID SHOE POLISH?
They left when G.W. and Laura left.
such a lack of respect. I like it when the President wears a suit in the Oval Office as well...
During the Carter administration, one section of Interior Dept use to have evening wine and popcorn parties. Talking to the cleaning lady the next day, she was PO’d for the mess that was left. The dignity of the office was lost then as it is now.
I remember reading when the elder Bush attended one of the younger Bush’s meetings early on one of the staffers sitting in (it was a weekend) on a briefing was wearing shorts, basically casual clothes while all the others were wearing suits & ties. The elder castigated the staffer about his clothing and the staffer learned to put on suits & ties. That showed dignity.
Its wrong, but I’d hit it.
I hope that guys skates hit a chicken bone or watermellon seed on the floor and crashed and busted his a$$.
I saw him, too, he looks strange, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. Is he also using botox?!?!
Not to excuse the droopy pants crowd, but worse went on during the Clinton regime.
Well, WTF! We had to get some Third-World African illegally occupying the White House to do it!
Well, if you’re an old fart, then I must be one, too! AND a pissed off old fart at that! How disrespectful!!!! Sickening!
OMG...you are right! He is such a mental case.My granddaughter and I tune in on his 2pm show and we say in unison..”How high is Shep today?”He never fails to amuse(disgust) us.
It’s the modern day version of the Roman Bread & Circuses routine.
This juvenile act of vandalism was done with the full permission of the Obamas.
Hmmm...I wonder if Hawks wanted to skateboard through a mosque,
if Obama would have given him full permission ??
The Obamas treat the White House like it’s an outhouse.
With these two, it’s always one giant middle finger to Americans.
I am disgusted by this as well. Ronald Reagan would not go into the Oval Office without a suit coat and tie on. He would turn in his grave if he could witness this. It’s disgraceful.
The skateboarding was an “in your face” gesture demonstrating 1) Obama, his handlers, and the Dems can do whatever they like with the White House, thank you, and 2) the age of reverence for America is so over, Dudes. —But this picture can come back to haunt them all later as iconic of this era, if we are attacked, for instance. This idiotic picture needs to be saved to hard drive; it could become quite useful in time.
(Not to excuse the droopy pants crowd, but worse went on during the Clinton regime.)
This one is IN YOUR FACE!
"It's medication time..."
When the world is in crisis, B Hussein distracts himself with the inane.
It is wrong - and low down for you to say it.
Yep. Remember that Billy Jeff Clintoon popularized oral sex amongst the young set (oral sex isn't sex).
What's the use when there's no dignity or leadership qualities in our leaders?
Some people have no manners at all.
Thank you. I posted #25.
I wonder if this photo of Hawks skateboarding down the halls of the White House will become one of those “pictures that changed the world.” It just sums up Obama’s arrogance and sense of entitlement amidst great suffering.
Obama’s going to regret this decision.
And you’d probably catch “it” too!
I’m with you = at first I thought I was just a grumpy 54 yo
and this skateboarding in the WH disgusts me to no end.
Couldn't have said it better.
I expect to see hood graffiti on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier any day now.
