Starting a ping list to pray for the end of abortion (Vanity)
Vanity ^ | June 13 2009 | Toki

Posted on 06/13/2009 7:03:15 PM PDT by Toki

After all was said and done about the Tiller murder, I looked around what responses that I seen from people, what I still see now, and I was... disturbed how angry they were. Now anger isn't a bad thing always, but there was no point to the responses; they just blowed out steam (which again not always bad) but I felt like nothing that was happening on those threads were anyway productive to the pro-life movement; and this isn't an unusual thing: look on any abortion thread.

TOPICS: Government; Health/Medicine; Politics; Religion
KEYWORDS: abortion; pinglist; prayer; prolife
Abortion may seem like something that we can't do anything but blow steam about, however, what if, as a ping list, when we heard about an abortionist, or anyone involved in abortion (good or bad), instead of blowing steam, (which may feel good at the time, but is not very productive) we prayed for them, for the workers, providers, people who are looking to get them, or have, that Christ come into their lives. Or the people that are pro-life, that we support them with prayers. This would be a very precise prayer-ping list, due to the fact there are already encompassing prayer lists. However, I felt God put this on my heart, and so I'm starting it.

I truly think that this can be a powerful tool in God's hands, because without prayer, God may not act.

"When two or more gather in my name to pray, I am present." And with as many people as there are on Free Republic, well that's a lot more than two :D.

You don't have to write a prayer, but if you would remember these people in your prayer life... we could help, God willing.

If you have read this far, and are considering wanting to join, would you think a traditional ping list where I and some help (if anyone would like to) would post on every article, or a weekly post where if anyone finds anything we could post, articles, prayers, etc would be better (I think the first one might be more effect, other one would allow more particpation, though the first everyone could use the ping if we posted it somewhere?)

Three, well four, people we can start with:

Physician LeRoy Carhart- A third term abortionist, who wants to take up the mantle of Tiller. He, however, does not have a place to practice. Pray for his conversion to Christ.

Rozalyn Farmer Love A Med Student at Aubrun University, she wishes to be a gynecologist/obgyn and preform abortions, including third term. However, she also wishes to help woman to give birth; I pray for her to turn to or back to Christ and that she may help women bring these wonderful lives into the world with her life.

Reverend Katherine Ragsdale- Once again in the news, to be president and dean of Cambridge's Episcopal Divinity School, said abortion is a blessing. May God show her that the baby is a blessing, and something that takes it's life away isn't.

MYAH a mother who gain attention within the Pro-life movement for he child Faith Hope, who she carried to term even when the child was diagnosed with anencephaly, where the neural nodes doesn't develop, and the child has very little brain tissues. Her child, which she was pushed to abort because the child because the doctor said that it would not live outside the womb, live 90 days before going to heaven. She is now starting a site for prayer for other mothers with Children who need prayer. Pray for her success, comfort, and her newest prayer request, Tabitha and baby Bennett, who is praying for God to do what man cannot about her child having anencephaly.

I look back at the list... wooh... I'll hit all the articles I can...Thank you,

Toki

I would like to add this:

For the township of East Norriton, PA, where Einstein hospital (an abortion providing hospital) wants to build a new hospital. Let’s pray that the people of east Norriton don’t allow this to happen.

I would also like to put this out there for community prayers:

in Philadelphia, there is an abortion clinic on 777 Appletree Lane. I once went there to give witness to Christ and the pro-life movement, handing out pamphlets for pregnancy crisis centers. There was this one women who, being guarded by the escorts, was crying visibly. I feel much remorse that she didn’t take a pamplet. I pray for that God helps here through the pain and suffering.

I would like to add Hilary Clinton to the list. She is likely the most powerful, highly regarded woman in the Democratic party. Whichever way she goes, many will follow. I pray that whe turns to the pro-life cause, ultimately leading many to follow.

I know, I didn’t think to put Legal, but why not pray for the illegal ones too? I know they happen in places, especially Russia, where it is Illegal (and at one of the highest rates also)

I pray that the pro-lifers will work like crazy to assure honest elections, and to elect pro-life representatives.

How about including prayers for all the CINOs (Catholics in Name Only) that are in Obama’s administration. As well as Obama — but I wouldn’t put that in any headline — just my opinion.

We could also pray for Fr. Jenkins at Notre Dame.

I am very interested. I starting posting a prayer or picture of some sort with the Daily Readings thread when Obortion Obama got elected.

Faith and Mountain Flower, are you interested?

Faith and Mountain Flower did the pings for the 40 Days for Life threads. One on the news forum and one on the Religion Forum. They are great prayer warriors.

We have to make abortion as truly evil as it is.

God blessed me with a daughter, and I thank Him every day, but I had an abortion when I was 18. My son/daughter would have been 20 now. At that time, (not for me), it was “no big deal” when I went to PP. No sonogram, no nothing. I went back for a follow up and found out(thank God again) I scared two girls off because I actually screamed during the whole thing...

What happened then really kinda killed me I drink and I have to stop! I am trying to be a mom to the little munchkin God gave me. I CAN’T stop punishing myself and I don’t know where to go. I HAVE to find a way to do it.

A Pro-Life Prayer For Our President And Public Officials

Baby with TearLord God, Author of Life and Source of Eternal Life,

Move the hearts of all our public officials and especially our President, to fulfill their responsibilities worthily and well to all those entrusted to their care.

Help them in their special leadership roles, to extend the mantle of protection to the most vulnerable, especially the defenseless unborn, whose lives are threatened with extermination by an indifferent society.

Guide all public officials by your wisdom and grace to cease supporting any law that fails to protect the fundamental good that is human life itself, which is a gift from God and parents.

You are the Protector and Defender of the lives of the innocent unborn. Change the hearts of those who compromise the call to protect and defend life. Bring our nation to the values that have made us a great nation, a society that upholds the values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all.

Mary, the Mother of the living, help us to bear witness to the Gospel of Life with our lives and our laws, through Christ, Our Lord.

Amen.

One of the first things I do each day is pray for an end to abortion and euthanasia (including forced euthanasia).

More prayers said.

I am sorry....I got through part of the thread, but am so short on time and sleep I cannot get through it all tonight....we have a church dedication tomorrow and were working on things for it all day today.

I think it may be wise to put it up as a weekly thread. Daily will take too much time from whomever is doing it, unless they have nothing else to do....at the moment, I have too much already, so I cannot help much on this. If there are some really HUGE things going on, perhaps they will need more than a weekly ping for attention. just a thought!

PRAYER is vital to the end of abortion. It will take a 3 stranded battle strategy: 1- prayer attack for the spiritual side of the battle, 2-legislative for the retraction of the legalization of abortion, 3-options and assistance, thus the need for sidewalk counseling, pregnancy centers, post-abortive support groups, maternity homes, etc. I am convinced that the reason God has not given the clearance for abortions to be declared illegal is because we, the church, are not ready for it! We will be caught with our proverbial pants down, and unprepared!!! If we seek the end to abortions, what alternatives do we currently provide?? Research will show that maternity homes that exist are few and far between, some states have none, and 99% of them are full to capacity. If we intend to stop the millions of abortions every year, what options do we have open to assist these women in crisis pregnancies? We need to pray that God will raise up people and the means to offer up more maternity homes and the like as options, so we are prepared for the day we are seeking!

Please place me on the prayer ping list.

I’m glad. Would you pray for this though; I Just want to make sure that this is God’s will. I’m sorry after posting this thread I’ve felt like I’m wanting to jump out my skin, and that I may have started this on pride than what God’s wants. I just want to serve him.
