Damn. I drive a Mazda (although not a newer one) and shop (okay, play guitars that I can’t afford and buy an occasional set of strings) at Guitar Center.

I can find strings elsewhere, but there’s no effin’ way I’m getting rid of my Miata. :)

Just call Guitar Center HQs and tell them you were going to buy a Martin D-45, but won’t unless they bail on Letterman.

Okay, to be fair, they probably bought that before he attacked Palin. It takes time to stop these things.

What’s good for Phelpps is also true for Letterman....Kellogg should not sponsor anything that hurts our youth.

Internet banner ads get a little tricky. There's a really good chance that the GOP Gov. Assn. has no idea that they have an ad there.

An Obama ad appeared on Limbaugh's site last year during the campaign. Neither Limbaugh, nor Obama knew anything about it.

Not surprising at all. The Old Boys Club at the Republican Party fears Sarah as much as the Dem dodos.

They must know that it is used by CBS and thus can appear at Letterman. Why didn’t they withdraw from them after his “jokes” a few days ago?

They are slow on their feet to say the most harmless thing.

Maybe not. It's really long and complicated to get into, but the banner advertising business doesn't necessarily work like the print or television advertising business.

I honestly don't know. I use a script blocker and consequently I don't see anyone's ads.

By subscribing to the list, you are adding your name to a letter
that will be sent to CBS and all sponsors of David Letterman’s Late Night Show stating that you will not purchase
any product sold by a sponsor of his program until CBS fires him!

Here is my e-mail to the RGA. If they cannot control web ads atleast they could have supported Gov. Palin and her family and they did not.

As a registered Republican I am ashamed my party would run Ads on any thing associated with CBS,
and Dave Letterman. The reason I am ashamed is organization must think it is OK to make jokes about RAPEING a 14 yr. old family member of one of your members NAMELY Gov. Palin. I would hope you would have the common decency to pull all ADs from CBS and David Letterman.

Thank you for your time,

XXXXXXXXXX

Letterman is the only Late Night Host that truly thinks Child Rape Jokes are funny. But his audience feels the same as he does. Just listen to the laughter. So a boycott is not enough. If he truly feels and i believe that he does. That this type of humor is indeed funny ? Then, he must be replaced period. That should be the goal. I will contact as many of his advertisers as possible to this end. This is way over the line Folks. So let them know it.

It isn't either. If they supply good products it is reasonable for you to do so. HOWEVER, you may want to consider doing what I did. I wrote Geico and told them, truthfully, how pleased I have been with their service over many years. And I told them that if they continued to sponsor that show I will look for another carrier. I will also be contacting Best Buy and Kellogs to tell them that I will avoid their products/stores if they continue sponsorship. Then do what you said you would do.

I am not too crazy about punishing businesses and the working folks just because of the stupidity of David Letterman. All they want to do is sell their product. I support free enterprise and abhor group think, no matter who is doing it.

RGA ad is still there 12:22am .

Just a note, it seems I only see certain ads on certain browsers. On Firefox, I see
TV.com Chow.com gamespot and a couple for CBS owned sites.

With Safari I only see Guitar Center

With IE I see Earn My Degree, Dr Oz, Ancestry.com, who btw have sent out replies that they don’t have any Lettermen ads,momsteethstory.com, harchow, intel,Travelers Insurance,John Freida
