Do they have a link to that post on a White House blog?

Is there an official executive order or other policy that spells this out?

Blatantly unconstitutional.

Any person attempting to contact any public official concerning their opinions on any legislation, is an unregistered lobbyist.

Private citizens apply for grants and write proposals all the time. Does this mean that having spoken out against Lord Zero excludes you from getting a pell grant?

Yikes!

From the WH Blog linked above:

Following OMB’s review, the Administration has decided to make a number of changes to the rules that we think make them even tougher on special interests and more focused on merits-based decision making.

First, we will expand the restriction on oral communications to cover all persons, not just federally registered lobbyists. For the first time, we will reach contacts not only by registered lobbyists but also by unregistered ones, as well as anyone else exerting influence on the process. We concluded this was necessary under the unique circumstances of the stimulus program.

“...we will reach contacts...” means what? We will silence all critics? The meaning is very clear, I think, but the terminology is odd. In any case, it’s one more step over the line - one more brick in the wall.

restriction on oral communications

He doesn't want the American people to know the money is going to untaxed left wing special groups?
I wonder how much is going to groups like ALF, ELF, black panthers, ACORN, and democrat political vote buying.....

My parents, and nearly every government teacher I had in school taught me that the way to attempt to show concern about an issue, or bring about change in government was to contact my elected representatives and voice my concerns. If the Obama administration is not planning on allowing that form of communication about the issues- just how do they expect to hear from us? I know the answer is they don’t want to hear from anyone that doesn’t agree with their plans- but if they close the peaceful process of letting the officials know when we are unhappy then how do they expect some to react? I know there must be unhappy people who will not take this well at all.

The way that I read this is that letters or calls to our non-representing representatives will be investigated.

Surely not all of the folks in the government are weak kneed suck ups. Where are the coup makers when ya need them?

From Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary:
lobbyist
intransitive verb
: to conduct activities aimed at influencing public officials and especially members of a legislative body on legislation
transitive verb
1 : to promote (as a project) or secure the passage of (as legislation) by influencing public officials
2 : to attempt to influence or sway (as a public official) toward a desired action

Calling your representative and attempting to promote or detract from a piece of legislation is clearly trying to influence them. Like they are supposed to be influenced, in that they are supposed to represent our opinions.

I'm no lawyer, but that's what it sounds like to me. We're not allowed to petition our own government?
We're just being told to shut up, obey the master, keep working, and keep paying for his life of power and privilege?

This could explain why he chose an Internet Czar. He wants Americans silenced?

Obama has become terrifying. Please someone, make it stop.

Has anyone else noticed the democrats in the house and senate are unusually silent? Usually, their mugs are on the TV 24/7.

Oboma has pushed them aside by using Czars and thus eliminating them all together. I wonder how they feel about all this. They no longer have any power. Oboma got the cash and pushed them right out of his way.

WOW talk about Unconstitutional and Obama is supposed to be some kind of Constituional scholar did he read it while sitting on the John and then use it to Wipe?

He's already violated the separation of powers by bypassing the house and senate. Czars have been appointed by the new dictator. The democrat politicians are rendered powerless.

That's why I wonder what they're thinking right now. Are they REALLY happy about their affirmative action candidate, or are they now suffering the unintended consequences of their actions?

Maybe of interest..is there a connection? http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/026353.php

With the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) making an all-out international effort to restrict free speech about Islam, including speech designed to alert non-Muslims to the motives and goals of the global jihad movement, and Obama making conciliatory gestures toward the OIC, it is not at all difficult to look down the path and see the day coming when it will Sharia provisions restricting speech about Islam will be in place in the United States of America, and it will be illegal to speak about the Islamic supremacist agenda.

Most, of course, will dismiss such concerns the way they always dismiss them: with a wave of the hand and an invocation of the First Amendment — as if the First Amendment were some kind of inviolate shield that cannot itself ever in any way be impeached or impugned. Would that it were so. But the Obama Administration is already showing how little it cares for free speech and open dissent. And with an Obama-compliant Supreme Court judging cases that challenge their actions and interpreting the First Amendment for us, what’s to stop the Administration from playing ball with the OIC and building wonderful new bridges with the Islamic world in this way?
