Give David Wells credit. He makes the world an interesting place.
At Yankee Stadium today as a TBS analyst for the YanksNew York Yankees -Twins game - on the 11th anniversary of his perfect game against the Twins, Wells held nothing back before the game in a chat with the media.
In a nutshell: steroid users should be banned immediately on a permanent basis once uncovered; Alex RodriguezAlex Rodriguez home runs that he hit while using steroids should not count; and abusers could be banned from the Hall of Fame.
And Boomer related he saw Clemens at a golf tournament and called him "Eli," a takeoff on a joke Clemens had with him.
"I called him Eli because for years he called me Eli: 'Whatever comes out of Boomer's mouth, he lies.' Well, I got payback."
A sampling of Boomer's other views:
More on Clemens - "For the stuff he's going through, do I feel? Yeah but how much of it is fictional and how much of it is for real? We don't know. He's denying and there's cases out there that are pretty strong against him. Until it all comes out, I don't want to be one quick to judge but he's in a mess, he really is . . . Other abusers - "Guys are coming out now. (Manny) Ramirez has gotten out. A-Rod (Alex Rodriguez) admitted to it. The home runs that he hit off me in Texas, should those count?

I KNEW payrod was using....he was a great player but he bulked up and hulked up between Seattle and NY.....he was really pretty skinny and now look at him.....his joints are going to suffer for all that extra bulk that was not meant for his skinny frame...
according to reports, Sterod “bulked” up in HS
went from bench pressing 100# to 300# in ONE YEAR! Hello? LOL
“As a pitcher, I won’t ever object to a sleepy-eyed middle infielder beaning up to help me win,” Wells said. “That may not be the politically correct spin on the practice, but I really couldn’t care less.”
