Has anyone had a increase of kwh per day, since Smart Boxes installed???? Mine has went from around 30kwh perday to 68kwh perday. Yes I have checked all the obvious.

I don’t have one. Can a utility company put one on without your knowledge? I’ve read that if you use too much energy they jack up your cost.

Warmer weather calling for more air conditioner operation?
Gas furnace with pilot light still going during air conditioner operation?

(Sorry if this is on your obvious list)

The reason why I say that is because I’ve heard of no problem with PGE in Portland.

I had one I inherited from the previous owner of the house. The first hot day I bypassed it and that was that although I still got the minimal discount.

Oh..., that’s PG&E, not PGE ... :-)

There is a PGE in Portland, OR, while PG&E is in California... Can’t help you for California. I’m familiar with Portland.

It's not hard to understand what you are saying, but this is not breaking news. The most vile journalist has much better grammar than you used in your post. And with the poor grammar comes a credibility problem.

Its either get one are no service.

It's either get one or no service.

I am not really up on this technology, but from what I can figure, it measures usage and time of day. Is it possible that you are using the same amount of power per day, but the kwh's billed are multiplied by some factor for the time of day that they are being used?

Holy kicked in the gut

My total bill isn’t anywhere near that...let alone go up by that much.
