Obama's International Firearms Plan For Your Guns

Last week, we referred to a firearms treaty that Obama wants the USA to become entangled with. The treaty called the "Inter American Convention Against The Illicit Manufacturing Of And Trafficking In Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, And Other Related Material," would impose international regulation on firearms, their owners, and the firearms industry here.

In a broad slash of the international sword, the treaty lumps all your firearms with "any other weapon or destructive device such as any explosive, incendiary or gas bomb, grenade, rocket, rocket launcher, missile, missile system, or mine." This latter category is already regulated in US laws. The Missiles and Missile systems provision is a back door entry to interfere with our right to nuclear deterrent and tactical weapons.

The stated purpose of this treaty is "To prevent, combat, and eradicate the illicit manufacturing of and trafficking in firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other related materials. Here's what that means to American gun owners.

Firearms means the traditional definition of a firearm. It excludes antiques defined as made before the 20th century and their replicas.

"Related materials in the treaty is" any component, or replacement part of a firearm, or an accessory which can be attached to a firearm." part, replacement. This means all internal and external parts, and magazines.

Ammunition for treaty purposes means" the complete round, or its components, including cartridge cases, primers, propellant powder, bullets, or projectiles used in any firearm." Say goodbye to reloading...

How so? You don’t make your own barrels, brass or primers. Whatcha gonna do when the very few companies that actually make those parts stop selling to the general public (or shut down completely)?

When the government nationalizes health care part of our “preventative” care will be a requirement to turn in all firearms. If you refuse, you and your family will not be allowed to seek any health care treatment.

Only well-trained government professionals in the uniformed military and the police need guns.

History proves that civilians are much better off without them.

They can just go after primers, and mandate a self-inerting additive so that they will go dead after 2 years.

This requires no new technology. It’s simple chemistry. It would be a very simple “fix” for the statist grabboids.

The firearms community is starting to wake up. I saw this in 1994, and am starting to see the same thing this time. It is happening earlier than last time, because we have better communications and are not waiting for another Ruby Ridge and Waco.

We need to keep pushing and alerting. We can roll back this administration.

Here in Little Rock, we have Remington Arms, which manufactures ALOT of ammo for native Arkansas Wal-Mart.

Anyways, Back in 1995, Clinton sent DOJ Dep. AG Holder's minions to Remington and basically said, "we want your powder and primers to have a half life, of say, 5 years, or you will lose your Governement Contract".

Most FFLs, esp. those of us with at Type 07/02 SOT, and 06, have a copy of that ominous letter....it gives no remorse or hidden agenda in to what the grabboids want.

Luckily, being good southern boys, my lawyer and some other RKBA folks here in Little Rock drafted a great letter that pretty much says, "We have spent 50 years in trying to make the most stable, non-toxic, eco-friendly, consistant, and reliable primers and powders, and we would rather lose our government contratcts (which account for only 20 percent of gross sales) than to compromise the American firearm industry and law abiding citizens".

In sum...they told the grabboids to go get bent......doesn't mean they won't try again.

Congress will not ratify this. I’m sure they would not like to have 4 million gunowners waiting outside when they vote.

While I'm sure that letter can be found elsewhere, get it out there again. Scan it and put it up somewhere. When Holder starts shenanigans people can throw it in his face.

Unable and unwilling to directly overturn the 2nd amendment, it has always been the agenda of the left to do so INDIRECTLY. This provides the necessary start. The question remains...will actual Americans permit it?

So they wanted ammo and components to go dud within 5 years? That is pretty brazen conspiracy. That is the prelude to treason.

Gents,

They are going to try and ram-through disarmament of the American people. O’Bummer doe not worry about the Constitution; he will bypass it.

It’s happening now. The longer we wait for a direct point of confrontation with the government, the more time they will have to prepare. We need to get ready to force the issue, and soon.

People are beginning to wake up, but, they are to few and to slow.

This evil man is a direct threat to each and every one of us and to our country.

He is a traitor, a liar, he is for the total destruction if the US, he needs to be removed from power and his cohorts rounded up at the same time. They need to be tried and dealt with severly. Never mind his human rights. He is a bigger threat than monolithic communism ever was.

For what he intends there is only one solution or sentence.

This explains the administration’s and the media’s sudden “discovery” that drug dealers in Mexico are getting their guns from the USA. That may or may not be true but all of a sudden it is getting a lot of press. Just setting the table for this new gun control push.

Obozo can pass all the laws and sign all the treaties he wants ... enforcing them will be problematic and dangerous.

The famous WWII japanese admiral in his wisdom, instinctively knew:

"You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass."
- Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto (Japanese Navy)

This wisdom should not be lost on those that wish to take away our guns as well.

Aren’t there laws now that outlaw “Illicit Manufacturing Of And Trafficking In Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, And Other Related Material”?

Yes DMG2, you know that is true. But, Obama obviously believes that we need a treaty to usurp American law and our Constitution.

Thanks to the “Supremacy Clause”, treaties do exactly that - usurp American Law. Unless there is a specific Constitutional prohibition on the enforcement of the policies of the treaty, it has the force of Constitutional law, and supercedes and overrides any state level law or Constitution.

I think you have it figured out. When the government fails to respect the citizens, then the citizens are no longer bound to respect the government.

The next few years are going to be interesting times. In regards to the Treaties: Treaties Do Not Supersede the Constitution Read this.
