Megyn Kelly's absurdity
http://www.TableOfWisdom.com ^

Posted on 04/30/2009 5:42:08 PM PDT by publius321

Did anyone just hear Megyn Kelly on O'Reilly criticizing Miss California? Kelly claimed that Miss Ca, whatever her name is - has "gone Rogue because California didn't make her Miss CA on that platform"."

Dear God. You would think she was elected by the people or something! So she has no right to take a position on moral issues since she won "Miss CA"?

Kelly sounds like she should be working for CNN. Friggin Genius!

Guess Ms Kelly forgot that a comfortable majority of CA voters voted to support traditional marriage in their state. I think Miss CA represents her state very well.

Are you sure you heard things right? I watched her interview Carrie last week (almost more thant my dirty old mind could take) and she was very supportive of the girl.

Even made a comment about the fact that Carrie actually DOES represent what the majority of Californians think.

Yeah, and she also wasn’t named Miss California based on gay marriage. So there. That said, I have no doubt Carrie will be stripped of her crown. The gay mafia always wins.

Was the show a rerun tonight? Because I didn’t watch the show yet tonight, but I did watch her spout the same nonsense on O’Reilly not long ago.

Megyn seems to have a bit of a sarcastic side to her. I haven’t got to see much of her until recently, but she tends to have her tongue in her cheek once in a while

Doesn’t sound like Megyn AT ALL! I think this was taken out of context.

Megyn did a great and very sympathetic interview with Carrie. I believe Megyn is on Carrie’s side.

I didn’t hear that segment. I usually like Megyn Kelly, but if she said that then she is definitely off base this time.

If anyone should be criticized for this, it’s the fool that asked the question in the first place. Paris Hilton, or something like that.

I saw it. The poster is grossly mischarachterizing what Kelly said.

The question to her was does the Miss CA pageant organization have a gripe with her because she is neglecting to represent the special olympics.

Megyn simply stated they do have a legit gripe because that was a requirement of being the pageant winner, but that she’s been so busy defending herself for her marriage remarks, that she hasn’t had the chance.

I’m not sure what show this poster was watching...Megyn Kelly has been overly supportive of Miss CA.

Megyn defended Miss California.

Don’t make too much out of what Megyn said.

Megyn said she thought Miss CA did the right thing in answering the question honestly in the pageant.

She was just saying that the deal made to be Miss Ca was for her issue to be an advocate for the Special Olympics or whatever it was.

Megyn was in no way saying that she herself supported gay marriage, nor did she say Miss CA was wrong for doing what she was as a person.

Megyn Kelly said this? Was it said in jest?

She typically has her head screwed on straight. This doesn’t sound like her at all, unless she was being sarcastic.

I didn’t watch the show tonight, but I heard Kelly argue in favor of “same-sex” marriage on O’Reilly not long ago, and I was surprised, too. She even equated homosexuality with being Jewish, black, etc. It was so idiotic.

Some time in the last 2 or 3 weeks she was on with Lis Wiehl and she was arguing for gay sites to be allowed on school computers. I think both Bill and Lis were against it.

That’s what I thought. Megyn is a lawyer and she was giving a legal answer.

BTW, Megyn looked beautiful this morning on her own show. She had on a blue maternity dress.

Megyn is so pro-family and pro-life, I don’t know where the original poster here got his warped ideas about her.

When doing the “Megyn’s Court” segment, Megyn sometimes plays Devil’s Advocate. She can take either side of the issue to move the argument forward. Like Moot Court in Law School.

Some people apparently don’t get this.

That was the show! That's right, come to think of it, they were talking about the website issue... I came here to FR to see if anyone posted about it, but there was nothing at the time.

Correction to my post:

A week ago, as pepperhead pointed out, Kelly was in favor of gay websites accessibility at schools. (The issue wasn’t about gay marriage). I found that video. See link below. Fast forward to 4:44 when they start talking about the issue:

I didn’t watch tonight’s show, yet, but, after seeing the above show, I wouldn’t be surprised.

Yep, I caught most of that segment with Megyn. I was very disappointed in her logic on this one. She seemed to think that because Ms.California’s platform topic was the Special Oympics, that she should not also be out promoting the truth that marriage is only between man and woman. That made no sense. Why did Megyn think that this woman can’t talk about more than one issue? And anyway it was that gaywad panelist that asked her the question about homosexual “marriage”, she did not bring it up. He did, and he did it knowing that if she answered “wrong” he could make the fuss he later made on his website, calling her bad names and throwing a hissy fit because she said what most Americans believe in, instead of saying the PC thing that few believe in. I admire her for not caving. The easy thing would have been to answer his question with a lie, she chose the truth. Megyn is all wrong on this one.
