If a President of the United States had information, from the best sources available, that a nuclear weapon, or nuclear materials which could be used in a "dirty bomb," had been or were about to be smuggled into the United States, is there anything that President should not do? If a leader of al-Qaeda was believed to know the location of the nuclear weapons and the plans of attack were captured by the CIA in Pakistan, would waterboarding be off limits? ...
And if you are morally absolute as to waterboarding, then please tell us, which American city you would sacrifice? This is the honest debate which needs to be had, once again.

There you go again, making sense.
That’s easy - San Francisco!
Washington gets my vote...when the folks who work there are all in town...will do the country the most good...
Actually, all I have to say about torture to get that kind of information is "Red is positive, black is negative..."
KSM can breath through his ass.
Why did San Franscico get the gays and Washington the lawyers?
San Franscico had first choice.
I second that! San Fran must go! for the sake of the country, of course.
Easy one.
Washington, DC
Dearborn, Michigan is the only one I can think of.

high voltage low current and guaranteed to make you think you are being electrocuted if applied correctly. Comes complete with a handy crank and a menacing electrical whine when cranked, the faster you crank the higher the whine and the more powerful the effect.
In reality it has the less effect then a joy buzzer.
Nothing funnier than asking a newbie to hold the leads for you, then crank that sucker up!
Oooooooh! Neat. Never what you will need until you need it.
If it was Chicago it wouldn’t matter much. They would all still be voting in the next election.
The buildings can be rebuilt.
Washington DC.
DC
Yuma, Arizona. It is so freaking hot there, I doubt anyone would notice. Can you tell I hated our last duty station? LOL.
I guess I would pick San Fran. DC is too close to my beloved Boston.
As tempting as it would be to say one city or the other, the answer is NOT ONE DROP OF AMERICAN BLOOD, NOT ONE TEASPOON OF GROUND am I willing to sacrifice to the intruder who wants to steal our freedom from us. But I would fight to the death to preserve it.
Detroit/Dearborn
Yes, but a good zap will kill parasites and bacteria inside the body and it will neutralize snake venom and insect bites.
LA. Get all the scum in one throw.
1) Beijing
2) Moscow
3) Caracas
4) Havana
5) Tehran
6) Hollywood
7) Boston (Harvard)
8) Manhattan
9) William Ayers' house
10) Sacramento
11) San Fran
Cheers!
Good answer. Full marks. You sir are a Patriot.
San Fransisco or Hollywood. Take your pick. Maybe throw Ithaca on there as well.
....Perhaps someone in the press should ask the Presdient that question. Of course they will not.
D.C.
comes immediately to mind . . . but only when . . . the traitors are in town ‘working’ at their treason . . . perhaps the Jihadi’s will catch them at it in some grand joint session?
God have mercy.
IF a US city is ‘sacrificed’, I’d say we had sure as hell ‘sacrifice’ a couple of Arab cities.
Mecca goes first,with extreme prejudice.
Do I have to limit my choice to one?
sodom and gomorrah (SF and Oakland)
I’m truly shocked that any America city would be mentioned
Yes, DC needs to be cleaned out by US, the USA citizen, not by some enemy.
A little tar and feathering is in order for about 75 & of them, not 15,000 degrees solution
While I lean toward Washington or San Freakcisco, since they gave us the current infestation in Washington, just about ANY large cesspool of a city works for me.
It would also work for one T. Jefferson.
An astute student of history and human nature, Thomas Jefferson, predicted what we see happening here in America. As ambassador in France, he witnessed the run up to the FIRST socialist/communist revolution there. He penned the following observations concerning what would happen HERE should that socialism come to the United States. He CORRECTLY predicted that we would become an increasingly contentious and litigious people as we shouldered one another out of the way to get OURS from the public trough and the trough would soon be empty.
He also knew where the bulk of the problem would originate.
That whirring noise you may hear coming from that mountain in Charlottesville, Virginia is Mr. Jefferson getting up to around 3600 RPM.

“The mobs of the great cities add just so much to the support of pure government as sores do to the strength of the human body. It is the manners and spirit of a people which preserve a republic in vigor. A degeneracy in these is a canker which soon eats to the heart of its laws and constitution.” —Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Virginia Q.XIX, 1782. ME 2:230
I think our governments will remain virtuous for many centuries as long as they are chiefly agricultural; and this will be as long as there shall be vacant lands in any part of America. When they get piled upon one another in large cities as in Europe, they will become corrupt as in Europe.” —Thomas Jefferson to James Madison, 1787. Papers 12:442
“I view great cities as pestilential to the morals, the health and the liberties of man. True, they nourish some of the elegant arts; but the useful ones can thrive elsewhere; and less perfection in the others, with more health, virtue and freedom, would be my choice.” —Thomas Jefferson to Benjamin Rush, 1800. ME 10:173
“Our cities... exhibit specimens of London only; our country is a different nation.” —Thomas Jefferson to Andre de Daschkoff, 1809. ME 12:304
“Everyone, by his property or by his satisfactory situation, is interested in the support of law and order. And such men may safely and advantageously reserve to themselves a wholesome control over their public affairs and a degree of freedom which, in the hands of the canaille of the cities of Europe, would be instantly perverted to the demolition and destruction of everything public and private.” —Thomas Jefferson to John Adams, 1813. ME 13:401
“An insurrection... of science, talents, and courage, against rank and birth... has failed in its first effort, because the mobs of the cities, the instrument used for its accomplishment, debased by ignorance, poverty, and vice, could not be restrained to rational action. But the world will recover from the panic of this first catastrophe.” —Thomas Jefferson to John Adams, 1813. ME 13:402
“I fear nothing for our liberty from the assaults of force; but I have seen and felt much, and fear more from English books, English prejudices, English manners, and the apes, the dupes, and designs among our professional crafts. When I look around me for security against these seductions, I find it in the wide spread of our agricultural citizens, in their unsophisticated minds, their independence and their power, if called on, to crush the Humists of our cities, and to maintain the principles which severed us from England.” —Thomas Jefferson to Horatio G. Spafford, 1814. ME 14:120
LA
Chicago
San Francisco.
Atlanta
St Louis
Denver
That's the right answer in my opinion.
St. Louis? We're nice people out here. If you're looking for a midwestern city try KC where the people don't know how to slow down and line jump.
Washington DC
When I lived only in the States, I would go into all sorts of linguistic knots trying to explain what I meant. Then, I went into Mexico, and other countries. Everyone I have met who is not a citizen of the USA refers to all the other American countries by their country’s name (Colombian, Ecudorian, etc.). When they said, “American” they meant a citizen of the USA.
I quit being so silly and so should you. Give it up.
“Which American city would you sacrifice?”
Washington, D.C.
Assuming its still considered an American city.
Yeah, Make it big enough to take out Detroit too. Two problems solved!!
You are the only decent person around. Can you imagine that they are talking about killing innocent people? Yes there are some liberals in those cities, but there is also good conservatives too...and even if they didn’t praising nuking a city is good...What is wrong with them? Not to mention it would take out a lot more than that city. It would take out numerous states with the cloud dust and other stuff in the air.
Detroit would be my choice, if not for the fact that it’s right across the border from Windsor (which really doesn’t deserve the misfortune).
Washington, D.C.
Your Crazy. Good bye conservative senators like Senator Sanford among others. Think about who you are giving your death sentence too...
Detroit already looks like it was nuked.
No, I'm not. Thank you for the compliment, but I was tempted to say xxxx city, too. I was tempted to say Mecca or some such enemy territory. I can pretty blood thirsty and unforgiven.
New Orleans. Finish what Katrina started.
I work in Washington. I do not work for the government.
I am a strong conservative, and I am not the only one.
