This is a cartoon from the 1934 Chicago Tribune.
Holy man I got goosebumps - that’s prophetic.
“The hypnotized never lie”, ask anyone at MSNBC.
Love the “young pinkies from Columbia and Harvard”. Hmmm, who do I know that went to both of those schools, no, don’t tell me, it’s on the tip of my tongue........
That needs to be blown up for signs and posters, prominently displaying the date of publication. This needs to be sent to Beck and Cavuto.
Yet more proof that those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it. We suck for allowing them to dumb down our schools and teach fake history......
The find of the 21st century. Prophetic, indeed.
Oh, and let me say this as clearly as I can, ‘bump’.
hell, this might make a really great poster for the tea parties. Just to show that B. Hussein isn’t brilliant in fact he is an idiot. This has all been tried before and didn’t work.
I know a lot of pieces of that period of history — the New Deal, the deficit spending, the rise in the deficit during wartime (it evidently held relatively flat until the war), and so on. But I’m not versed enough in this to put all of the disparate pieces together into a compelling argument against what would inevitably be the response from my liberal relatives to this cartoon: “Yeah, so, America got through that OK, didn’t it? We prospered, didn’t we? No dictatorship materialized, and we didn’t become a Stalinist country. And we’ll get through this round of stimulus spending, too. It’s a necessary thing.”
I’d like to say, “You’re wrong because _________________” in a relatively concise and articulate manner. I am sure that others here who are more versed in this particular period of history can help me out!
It's been very clear to me that the 0bama regime is attempting to replicate the New Deal, in order to build up a 60 year base of Democrats again.
