Sarah Palin’s vice-presidential run last year certainly inflamed her critics.
Since the end of the campaign, Palin, who, in case you didn’t know, is the governor of Alaska, has fought back against at least 11 ethics complaints. The most recent complaint accuses Palin of a conflict of interest for wearing a jacket made by the brand that sponsors her husband’s snowmobile career.
The complaint was filed by a local blogger who wrote, "[Palin] improperly used her position and state resources to serve her personal financial interests by being a walking billboard for Arctic Cat, a private for-profit company and family business sponsor." Palin scoffed at the complaint, reports the Miami Herald:
Yes, I wore Arctic Cat snow gear at an outdoor event, because it was cold outside, and by the way, today I am wearing clothes bearing the names of Alaska artists, and a Glennallen Panthers basketball hoodie.
Should I expect to see an ethics charge for wearing these, or the Carhartts I wear to many public events? How much will this blogger’s asinine political grandstanding cost all of us in time and money?
Right-wing blog Red State, meanwhile, has come to Palin’s defense, and claims the governor’s enemies aren’t interested in catching Palin in a game of ethical "gotcha," but are, instead, attempting to make her and her family "destitute."
From just September till now, Sarah Palin has accumulated a personal dept of more than $500,000 in legal fees defending herself against fake/false/frivolous ethics charges.
These people want to bankrupt the Palins and leave them destitute. They want to empty their bank accounts so that they cannot afford the basics and necessities of life after Governor Palin leaves office.
That could very well be true, but considering Palin is looking for a book deal — and could make up to $7 million with one — we’re not too worried about the lawmaker’s financial future.
It’s not just strategy. I believe yes, they’re trying to keep her from running. But it’s also just plain old mean-spiritedness. They’re trying to bankrupt a woman for simply having political disagreements with them. It’s sickening.
That’s right. Most Democrats are dicks. Heck, just look at some of their “spokespeople” on TV.
They are so twisted and evil. I feel like my head is going to explode =/

Too bad her attorney hasn’t gotten legal fees out of those who continue to lose their cases. I suppose she’ll have to put together a legal defense fund....just as many other conservative women had to do during the Clinton years.
Maybe a lot of people who had questions about Palin's competency may now think they were led on by the media during the campaign and decide to give her a closer look, which would be to their, and our, favor.
The attacks on Gov. Palin is a combination of the Far Left
and a few others who may be candidates for Pres. in 2012.

They think by doing this and making her go broke that she will never run for anything again, they are DEAD wrong. This is much more then just not agreeing with her, they see her as Obama’s ONLY threat, notice I don’t see any of these lawsuits against Jindal or Sanford, are they pro-life, no one is filing BS lawsuits against them, they are only doing this against Sarah, why, to make sure she never runs for anything ever again. They know she can beat Obama easily. We got her back, the second she creates that legal fund I will send in my money and millions of others will do the same. Now as far as Sarahpac is concerned, how much money do you think was raised. I sent money there too

I remember that Reagan was boiled in oil from 76 until 80 by all that could do it,frankly, by the left and the RINO right.

Has anyone heard any updates on the Wasilla church arson? I did a search but all the entries were old. There doesn’t seem to have been any new news about the arson at Sarah Palin’s church. I want to see justice done and I am eager to know what the motivation could have been.
They are going after her because she is a threat to them.
Frankly, they’d be going after any one of us that decided to step up and speak out, its what they do. They don’t like any of us, and they will savage anyone who dares to stand up.

We need a war against Alaska Democrats starting with Hollis French. The trooper in question was witnessed driving with an open beer can in his hand, by more than one person. Men like French, who care nothing for public safety or professional standards, and who is apparently ignorant of thefact that Alaska has a long sad history of alcoholism, need to be run out of the state.

It just makes me so angry that she has to go through this..it breaks my heart, literally, when I read this yesterday on Conservatives4palin.com I had tears in my eyes. It breaks my heart so much that she has to suffer like this. You know, it certainly appears that the Democrats have been cultivating disturbed, sick people to fill their army of anti-American “activists”. People like codepink, the earth liberation front (ELF), ACORN and others. They are playing with fire...literally. I believe that some of these people are actually dangerous and the Democrat leadership uses them as attack dogs against anyone that gets in their way. It is much like the way the Mafia operates — the guys at the top never do the hits, they let the lower level guys do that so the top guys are insulated and protected. The Democrats are cynically using these disgusting people, even letting them run roughshod during the Iraq war congressional hearings. It is a disgrace and it is the Democrats who keep letting them in to appease the rabid anti-war left and to intimidate and embarass the Republicans.
Look at ACORN being taken to the AIG executives’ houses. I am no fan of what AIG did, but I don’t think you take busloads of people to people’s homes. This has happened before, ACORN went to Carl Rove’s house with several busloads of demonstrators who ran all over Rove’s yard, looking in windows, pounding on windows and acting like little savages. Rove’s young son and a friend were at the house and were terrified by this large gang of interlopers. This is trespassing and intimidation. It is a way of saying “We know where you live.”
When ACORN pulls these stunts, do the leaders actually check the background of these “activists”? Do they check to see if any of them have criminal records? What if they are mentally ill? I think that what they did is near criminal. Since ACORN is getting money from the government as well as some large tax exempt foundations, there needs to be some investigation of their methods. Think of all the tax exempt money that is going to these bogus, anti-American goons. I think congress needs to tighten the rules on government grants and tax exempt foundations. These grants should be going to things like curing cancer and helping the truly needy. Instead they go to endless maumauing by the left.
