I don't think that anyone wants to destroy the US Coastline at ANY Cost. Even those who want use to exploit our energy resources. The fact is Offshore drilling technology has gotten much easier on the environment.
Scientists know two things, first all the estimates of reserves on the US continental shelf are probably UNDERSTATED, after all its been thirty years since they have been allowed to take a really good look with the most modern technology. The other thing that scientists know (and that you rarely hear about from the MSM is that when there are leakages that cause environmental damage it rarely comes from the Oil Rigs, it comes from the transporting of OIL.
Its time for America to wake up and smell the gas fumes. TODAY the US is sitting on an estimated 115 billion barrels of oil and 633 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, if tapped it would be enough to drive down the price of oil, lower the cost of producing food cutting down, and free the United States from the grip of the Oil Producing countries, many of which use their petrodollars to fund terrorism. Sounds Cool right? Lets Go DO IT !!! Well we can't. Since he took office, the President's Secretary of the Interior has been canceling land leases for oil drilling. Now Congressman Jay Inslee, Moonbat from Washington, is calling for a restoration of the Offshore Drilling ban, even if it takes seceding from the union to get it done:

Too funny! Just this morning I was at a Lib meeting location (local Starbucks in southern California), and this one loud mouth was going off about how all republicans and conservatives should be rounded up and given "classes" on how to be human beings. I listened from the side lines and when one of the others asked him what to do if the "classes" didn't work, he replied "well then we should just put out em out of their miserable existences." I couldn't hold my tongue, I walked up to his table and said "hey big man, I'll guarantee your classes won't work on me, how about putting me out of my miserable existence...if you think you can?" He stuttered and mumbled and finally said ummm...well...I didn't mean it literally...I don't condone violence...ummmm....you shouldn't listen in to other peoples private conversations...ummmm...ummmm...I don't want any trouble."
I grinned and walked away...nothing more I could do to him than he had already done to himself...I exposed him for the loud mouth C.S. he really is. He and his audience just sat quietly and subdued.
Civil War wouldn’t be so bad.
