What is with all of these people "withdrawing" from Obama's cabinet positions? Well, three possibilities. First, they know this is a sinking ship on the way to the murky depths of socialism. Second, they are crooked, and scared to be exposed in the vetting process. And third, both the first and second reason.
They are withdrawing as they do not wish to be carried out naked.
The ones that have not fully paid their taxes are afraid they will be embarrased when they get caught because people will call them tax cheats
The ones that have fully paid their taxes are afraid they will be embarrased when this gets caught because other Democrats will think they are chumps.
Because everyone he picks gets vetted and OPPS!.... ANOTHER TAX CHEAT is found!.....
The only people they can find who believe in Obama’s agenda are left-wing crazies who would just dig Obama’s hole deeper. The intelligent non-crazies are too smart to believe in the fairy tales of the Messiah, and don’t feel like getting stuck with the bill when it all falls apart.
Cause they cheated on their taxes and got away with it?
Goodness knows where they might get thrown.
Isn’t it kind of full under the bus by now?
A paycheck.
Because DC is mostly full of bullies on a schoolyard hoarding all the toys and stuff now, with 0bama’s czars at the top of the heap?
Being a cabinet member might actually mean the American equivalent of having a window seatunder 0bama instead of being responsible.
On the other hand, maybe the qualified people are vacating the country.
Because they don’t want to have to pay up on taxes they should have paid?
The way to collect all those back taxes owed. Get nominated to Obama’s cabinet. Soon the debt will be erased.
They enjoy life.
Don’t quit you day job!
Maybe they finally read the fine print on the job advert
“Wanted - motivated team players, for a goal-oriented Administration. You will work hard and have fun as we seek to destroy the United States in 4 years. Please send application and tax records to PO. BOX 6543, 1600 PENNSYLVANIA AVE, DC 20012.”
I suspect they get a whiff of what’s going down and don’t want any part of it.
At a Senate hearing Thursday about failed insurance giant American International Group Inc. _ which has received four separate bailouts totaling more than $170 billion _ Sen. Chris Dodd said he had asked Treasury for someone to appear, but that no one was available."I am not pleased that we don't have someone here from Treasury to explain what their role in this is," Dodd said.
Treasury officials contend that Geithner is receiving plenty of good advice, much of it from the 50 advisers already working there. But until Treasury gets some Senate-confirmed leaders, these people can't sign documents or make policy decisions. They can't even sit in their future offices.
To be sure, a great deal has happened at Treasury since Geithner assumed his post. The department has rolled out a few details of its much-maligned financial stability program, new programs to aid homeowners and has started assessing the strength of major financial institutions. And one official, Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Stuart Levey, has been asked to stay on.
The problem, critics say, is that many of these initiatives would have gone more smoothly if Geithner had a full complement of senior staffers to work with.
Among the harshest critics of Treasury's leadership vacuum is Paul Volcker, an Obama economic adviser and former Federal Reserve chairman who last week called the situation "shameful."
"The secretary of the treasury is sitting there without a deputy, without any undersecretaries, without any, as far as I know, assistant secretaries responsible in substantive areas at a time of very severe crisis," Volcker said. "He shouldn't be sitting there alone."
The White House took issue with Volcker's statement, saying Geithner has plenty of able staffers. Former Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers, Obama's chief economic adviser, has worked closely with Geithner for years.
Wasn't the former Fed Chairman part of Who's in charge....?
Stench of failure would be my guess. Oh, and grab a toy Presidential Helicopter toy on your way out.
Maybe "...at the most populous intersection of the town at high noon." has something to do with it....
>>Isnt it kind of full under the bus by now?<<
You need a stepladder to board.
because the ship is sinking
