During his stint as a legislator, Obama became quite well known for avoiding issues by voting 'Present' instead of 'Yes' or 'No'. And just like he hasn't kicked his smoking habit, the Comrade-in-Chief hasn't kicked this dirty little habit either.
Fox News reports that Obama is AWOL in the Stimulus debate, but continues to make snide obstructionist remarks from the sidelines about how the Republicans aren't cooperating.
That kind of thing may have made him think he was being cute while he was just another anonymous face in the legislature, but when he's the President, this is totally unacceptable behavior.

The fact is that Obama doesn’t know much at all about what’s in the bill. Obey & Staff wrote the bill, it’s way too long to interest Obama, and there aren’t any pictures.
Why do you think he went to the school the other day to read to the kids? He likes looking at the pictures.
0bama has not missed a chance to make his snide remarks. Every time he gets in front of a microphone it is the same thing over and over - DOOM AND GLOOM - but on Nov. 4 the people spoke and you must listen and follow him and his ideas - even if they arn’t his.
And there's lies the crux of the issue. nobama has enough dems in the house and senate to pass this w/o Repub votes. IF it is the right thing to do; and not a pork laden boondoggle, and IF the people of the US have given him a mandate for "change"; like we are constantly reminded of, then just pass the thing, instead of looking for Repub cover.
Of course he has to vote "Present", as he is not well enough informed to have an opinion about more than the most trivial of matters. This trait is about to come up and bite him in the gluteus maximus big time.
I’m getting a weird feeling he’s going to become the first President to resign within a year of taking office. This actual governing is WAY over his head.
Just remember his official title is “Present” Obama.
I’ve had a couple thoughts about that myself, but I just don’t think he can throw this away, given his ego and the fact he’s been gunning for this for 38 years.
