It’s time to phase out the H1B scam. As the contracts expire, those that have not been laid off have to go.

I worked with a bunch of Indians a few years ago and almost to a man, once their contract was up, they were going back home to set up their own programming shops. In that field, all we did was to train our competition.

If R&D will be adversely affected by the departure of some highly-skilled H1Bs, why would they be let go? A company would be in a world of hurt if they have to lay off their R&D people.

Nevertheless, we’ll probably hear from Bill Gates, et a why we need an increase in the H1B quota.

This would open up slots for Americans...it works for me. We have to start looking after our own people. This is America...should be for Americans and the emigrants that decide to become citizens and join us in this great experiment with democracy...I know we are really a Republic, but it sounds loftier. Hehe, feeling pompous tonight

Visa Types for Immigrants

Immediate Relative and Family Sponsored

Employer Sponsored

Special Immigrants

Diversity Visa Program - Visas provided are drawn from countries with low rates of immigration to the U.S. Unlike other immigrant types, Diversity Visas (DV) do not require a U.S. sponsor, and therefore a petition is not needed.
