The only way Barak and Michelle could have lived in Bali for 6 months was on a Indonesian passport...come on Barak,,give it up..It just keeps getting worse and worse.
You can see his fake one on the wall of his campaign office and it is framed. I want to see evidence from a forensic scientist it is real and it is traceable to government records. If he has nothing to hide then how easy can this be since others have offered to pay for all of this.

I'm very much aligned with you on the BC/NBC issue, but this assertion is just flat wrong. I have a home in Bali where I regularly stay for prolonged periods of time and I certainly have never held an Indonesian passport. The only passport I have ever held is the one given me by my Uncle Sam.
The only thing any American needs to stay in Indonesia for period of up to six months is a Visa Kunjungan Budaiah Social - good for two months initially and renewable four times for an additional month each time. I've got about six of these in my passport issued to me over the past few years.
I point this out because it is very easy to hurt your own credibility by making statements that turn out to be bunk.
When the heck was he in Bali with the lovely Michelle? I thought he lived there as a child and then visited his mother there at some point, but I didn’t realize he spent that much time in Indonesia after he was married.

BTW, many think that that book was actually ghost written by Bill Ayers.

Actually, as you say, he went there just to stay out of sight and be able to communicate, undetected, with the true author of his “memoirs,” Bill Ayers. Those guys go way back. The only question is whether Ayers is using Obama, or Obama is using Ayers. Probably each one thinks he’s using the other.

The only reference to that Bali retreat, AFAIK, is in this NYT article:
"His half-sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, said he eventually retreated to Bali for several months with his wife, Michelle, “to find a peaceful sanctuary where there were no phones.”
It's curious to say the least, since those "several months" would have to have been between their marriage in October 1992 and the books' first printing in July 1995 -- a period in which both of them had full-time jobs (he as an attorney and p/t law instructor at UC; she either in Daley's admin or at UC) and were supposedly deeply in debt due to college loans. And yet they were able to spend "several months" in Bali, according to his sister. OTOH, it may just be one of the many exaggerated statements used to plug credibility gaps in the epic Obama saga.

1992 was also the time of another fact finding trip to Africa according to Jerome Corsi’s book.
In addition to the Kenyan trip in 1986, he returned on a fact finding trip years later. According to his uncle Sayid (age 53- Sr.’s younger bro.) BO visited there with Michelle during their engagement in 1992 and spoke extensively with Aunt Zeituni regarding his father’s life as a polygamist and his lack-luster bureaucrat career.
Apparently the young aspiring BO and his fiance had plenty of money and spare time to travel abroad and play tourist during an extended holiday on two continents.
This is the lead that established the point in time where he was certainly being financed for a political career and explains why documentation is so deeply buried since it has been going on for over 15 years.

If Obama leaves this phrase off (which is his prerogative) then we have all just been warned.

So, basically, her new “case” to the Supreme Court is to get the Supreme Court Justices to recuse themselves from administering the oath of office to Obama, because they have not considered these cases (the prior ones) on their merits.

It seems to me that the idea of putting through states laws requiring specific documentation to vet a Presidential Candidate per the Constitutional requirements — is a lot more productive... :-)
At least the state of Oklahoma is doing that very thing, and I’m supporting that state law.

Here's my rule of thumb -- if you can't point to a source, it's nothing more than an opinion. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but IMO, there's much too much of "I can't recall, but it must be true" sort of thing being presented as fact on FR.

No, on this particular point, it doesn't establish anything other than a question that hasn't been answered: How does a young couple, supposedly deeply in debt for student loans, and holding full-time jobs, manage this type of travel/extended vacation?

I understand your point of sources, but using dates, names, and places from his own autobiography is a cloudy source as well.
According to his uncle, he was there in ‘86, ‘92, and ‘06.
According to his book, BO doesn’t disclose clearly the date of the trip to Kenya that he is discussing, nor does he make it clear that there was two separate trips prior to the publication of the autobiography. Instead he relayed a composite of experiences from both trips.
And no where does he disclose in the autobiography that Michelle accompanied him on the 1992 African trip. His recollections differ from his Kenyan relatives and facts collected by the journalist Rob Crilly who wrote about Obama in the “Daily Mail” and citations used by Corsi in his book.
His book is clearly fragments of the truth intertwined with idealism and altered factoids of political convenience.
I will look for the Bali source and place it on this thread if and when I find this. But with a reality check, how do you suppose they financed their extended international travels and supported themselves while unemployed?.......Chicago lottery winners? Winners of a free trip to Bali?

But that doesn't mean every word of it is untrue. Let's just say it's presumed true until proven otherwise.
As for the credibility of the Kenyan relations, I tend to believe it's the opposite: unreliable until proven otherwise. It's not hard to imagine the entire crew coming out of Nairobi Central Casting, Inc., especially non-grandma Sarah. I wonder whatever happened to his real grandmother Akumu Habiba Obama? The African press now refers to her as "since deceased," with no explanation of where or when. Nor is there any mention of her younger daughter, Barack's (real) aunt Auma, who was close to the age of his mother, Ann Dunham.

I was listening to the radio show and it said Obama spent 6 months in Bali to write his book. It said you could only get a VISA for 2 months. News to me too.
I would guess once his VISA was up he could apply for another one. If he went with Michelle she would not have the same privileges as Obama since she was not being foreign born. Hmmmm. We need to look further.
Obama received $125,000.00 from the publisher before writing the book. Plus a young couple with student loans has not been verified by anyone other than Michelle. In fact one large question to Obama is how did you pay for Harvard and Obama is silent. How did you get into Harvard is another.
Anyway, just google and you will find tons of articles. One I bet you will like is the NYT's confirming it is true. You will have to look for the actual article on NYT's but here is some information to help.

Still there could be other reasons he won't let anyone see it just as bad as possibly being born in Kenya and not US soil. The guy is not on the up and up. And the other day SCOTUS Roberts met privately with Obama and Biden. With dockets to be seen this cannot be legal.

And since he didn't fulfill the contract, Simon & Schuster cancelled it, "which probably meant that Obama had to pay back at least some of what he had received of the advance." [Source] Then he got a second contract with Random House for $40,000 and he finally delivered the book.

I don't, and neither do I take the NYT to be the truth. But until proven otherwise, not everything written in them is a lie. It becomes more of a problem, IMO, when people make sweeping, inaccurate statements with no real frame of reference. It cheapens the truth, muddies the waters and actually gives aid and comfort to Obama's contention that any evidence contradicting his life story is simply part of a smear campaign by the ever lovin' VRWC.
You mean like the main stream media does day in and day out? It is interesting that no one is suppose to post information found online to not be worthy but a reporter who has the ability to get to the truth but refuses, must be considered factual. There is nothing being written here that Obama cannot speak out on and clarify. If they are rumors I am more than willing to listen to Obama explain. His silence is deafening. Which to many means it is true.

Bring on the truth if you have it available. As long as Obama does not explain all of his past, his books are not credible, as long as Obama defies answering questions on his BC, his partnerships with terrorists, as long as he has private meetings with a supreme court judge before his hearings, the stories will continue. They will get much worse. Do I support posting wrong information, No. But I have not seen any information to dispute what was posted either.
I found pages and pages of Obama and Bali. I am a great researcher. The advertisement like I said would give you plenty of ways to find the actual article. Are you saying you looked and now you feel the story is false? Did Obama come out and say it was not true somewhere?
Where is the evidence Obama did refund the money for his book he did not find the time to write? I saw that it was requested. In fact one article reads he may have used the money for one of his homes he could not afford.
