Nothing Screams "Drill Here Drill Now" more than this story. Mirfeysal Bagherzadeh, a brigadier-general of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards and head of one of the country's "Islamic Police" called for a repeat of the 1972 Oil Embargo. He demanded that OPEC Countries should cut off of Oil Supplies to Israel's allies.
Thirty-six years ago, the Islamic countries shut off Oil supplies to the US because of friendship with Israel. In the intervening years we have done nothing to prevent another embargo. We have enough Oil reserves to supply the US with fuel for over 100 years, yet we still refuse to exploit them by drilling.
While the call of this one nut will likely remain unheeded, it is another warning to America, DRILL HERE DRILL NOW:

Oil is a commodity. As long as they sell to someone, it doesn’t matter who.
For my part, I’d say - Let them! Oil is $40 a barrel now, and their economies are in deep trouble. What happens when the amount they sell falls in half? We’ll figure out alternatives (like nukes, etc. and no they won’t be cheap). They on the other hand will be broke.
I wish they would cut off their oil. This country would then be forced to tell the enviroloonies to go screw themselves and we would have to start drilling for our own oil. DO IT MUZZIES!
Except for the strategic petroleum reserve.
Fine ... NUKE ANYONE who threatens to cut off ANYONE’s OIL!!
The U.S. learned nothing from the 70’s. Standing in line every other day for $2 of fuel.
Murder and theft for oil. Oh that’s a great idea. /s
How’s about we do something much more simple and moral - drill for our own? Mine coal. Build nukes. Send less money to the islamofascists? Hmmm?
Yet another example of how government has failed us, despite an overwhelming majority of Americans voicing their approval of domestic and offshore drilling to enable US independence of foreign oil. And it’s been a rather deliberate failure, at that.
