Gore has said a lot of things that should make the list. But I don't think he's ever said those exact words like that.

The correct quote is:

"... it is just wonderful to be back in Oregon, and over the last 15 months we've traveled to every corner of the United States. I've now been in fifty .... seven states? I think one left to go. One left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit but my staff would not justify it."
And, yes, Biden should have been on the list, although he might need an entire list of his own. It's difficult to pick the "all time dumb quote" from Biden because you'd have to go through so much material.

How could ABC miss this one:

Barney Frank (9/25/2003)
I think it is clear that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are sufficiently secure so they are in no great danger... I don't think we face a crisis; I don't think that we have an impending disaster. ...Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac do very good work, and they are not endangering the fiscal health of this country.
That's not necessarily the worst from Barney Frank, but it's one I could find quickly.

Actually, an entire category for Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac is probably in order.

The Mars thing was Maxine Waters. She asked if the Mars rover was anywhere near where the astronauts planted the flag. That is a classic that should be on the list as well.

I don’t suppose the messiah’s quote about visiting the 56 states made the cut.

Looking at the transcript what he actually said is: “I took the initiative in creating the Internet.”

OBAMA: "Everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma, they end up taking up a hospital bed, it costs, when, if you, they just gave, you gave them treatment early and they got some treatment, and a, a breathalyzer, or inhalator, not a breathalyzer. (crowd laughing) I haven't had much sleep in the last 48 hours."

Kerry said, “You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

Klassic Kerry

Obama: “I’ve now been in...57?...states. I think one left to go.”

“Stand up, Chuck! Let ‘em take a look at ya.” US Vice President Joe Biden

“When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the princes of greed. He said, ‘look, here’s what happened.’” — Sen. Joe Biden,

Biden: “It happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: Jobs. J-O-B-S.”

A man I’m proud to call my friend. A man who will be the next President of the United States — Barack America!” —Joe Biden, at his first campaign rally with Barack Obama

“Well, uh, you know, I think that whether you’re looking at it from a theological perspective or, uh, a scientific perspective, uh, answering that question with specificity, uh, you know, is, is, uh, above my pay grade.” - Sen. Barack Obama, on “When does a baby get human rights?”

The internet goes back to the 1960s. Al Gore created and initiated NOTHING.

Tina Fey did not misquote Sarah Palin, she blatantly LIED about what Sarah Palin had said. That the public so much believes the lie shows it to be a deliberate slur.

Too many believe that if it was heard on TV then its true.

They don’t spend the time to check themselves, or raise the question of “ it that really true” or “ where did they get that from”

The Left decries conservatives because we get “news” from Rush Limbaugh, but the “youth” vote gets news from SNL and Comedy Central (Daily Show), which segment has a firmer grasp on facts?

BTW, do not be impressed by credentials.

Some of the stupidest people I have even known have been members of Mensa. (I am a member of Mensa.) (I joined it because my sister, a female Chauncy Gardner clone, who is one of the stupidest people ever to have walked the planet, was a member, and I got tired of having people tell me that she was intelligent. She was the opposite, which was obvious after two minutes of conversation with her, and her life was a disaster, but countless nitwits never figured it out--and cited her membership in Mensa as evidence. So I signed up. I met even more morons than I had expected to.)

Some of the stupidest people I have ever known have been university professors. (I have a doctorate degree and have had more than 15 years of college-level education.)

And it goes without saying that among the stupidest people I have ever had the misfortune to witness are so-called "journalists" and other jackasses who display themselves on television (notably the alphabet channels) and in the rest of the "mainstream newsmedia".
