Sixty-two percent (62%) of Republicans back Israel's decision to take military action against the Palestinians, but only half as many Democrats (31%) agree. A majority of Democrats (55%) say Israel should have tried to find a diplomatic solution first, a view shared by just 27% of Republicans.

I think this situation is going to be wrapped up by Inauguration Day (Hamas will be effectively destroyed, and Fatah will take over Gaza), but if there's a chance that it's not, it will be the next set of groups that Obama will have to choose between when it comes time to piss someone off. This doesn't surprise me, but it sure disturbs me. My piano teacher's father survived his concentration camp sentence, and yet the son is a complete pacifist.
