Reluctant Ohio Sec of State to Enforce Election Law

Jennifer Brunner, the Democratic Secretary of State in Ohio has decided that she will follow the ruling of the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals and comprise a system to share questionable registrations with county election officials. But there is a caveat. The Court ordered Brunner to accomplish this task by this Friday and Brunner says she won't be able to complete the work until Monday. So who knows where this is going.

Questionable registrations: Fork over voter list, judges tell Brunner

Almost as if she anticipated a court ruling a few hours later, Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner promised yesterday to give county elections workers access to a list of possibly problematic voter registrations.

But wouldn't you know it, Brunner blamed this all on the federal government and their nasty requirements that elections be fair and transparent.

"It is imperative that voters not be disenfranchised because of federal government red tape, misstated technical information or glitches in databases beyond the control of voters or the secretary of state."

And just to make certain that the right political message was coming out of her office she also blamed her inaction on the previous Secretary of State, Ken Blackwell.

Last night, Brunner's office released e-mails from June 2006 suggesting that it was the administration of her Republican predecessor, J. Kenneth Blackwell, that made the initial decision not to inform counties of a mismatch.

Yes Jennifer. That was then and this is now. It is YOUR responsibility to assure the citizens of this state that their votes actually mean something. Not that they can be nullified because someone named Mickey Mouse votes for the other candidate.

Brunner apparently blames her lack of action on her belief that everything is just hunky dory in Ohio. No problems here. Not at all.

Brunner said reports of widespread voter fraud in Ohio are overblown. "I don't believe there is an effort under way to steal the election."

Yeah, uh huh, sure Jennifer. How is that you can be so confident that it isn't going on when you have no system in place to assure that it isn't? What's that? Sorry, didn't hear you.

Let Jenny do the checking from her prison cell ... I’m sure that there are some Rosie O’Donnell types that will “help her out”.

Crickets chirping. MSM has no idea any voter fraud is going on. They also don’t know anything about Biden’s forking over $2 million in campaign funds to friends and family. Isn’t there a legal term that covers that? Like embezzlement? It would be a felony, presumably.

I would like to see those emails her office cites in an effort to blame Ken Blackwell. On this past Sunday, I listened to him give an impassioned speech that ACORN was a dire threat to our election process and the foundations of our country. He urged everyone to take action to assure that the fundamental of one person one vote be upheld and that only legal votes be allowed and counted. He was very passionate in his speech and stated that widespread ACORN vote fraud could undermine the very legitimacy of the Presidential election.

When is Brunner up for re-election? She needs to be kicked to the curb. Partisan hack.

Isn’t the state legislature controlled by Republicans? Why don’t they impeach her?

I would think this kind of nonsense will end up hurting the Dems more. Don’t tell me this isn’t getting a lot of Republicans and McCain/Palin people riled up.

She should be removed from office. Can she be impeached by the legislature?

This is not the democratic party that my parents and grandparents were are a part of.
This new democratic party is overwhelmed by liberal agenda setting greedy weirdos.

If my grandmother were still alive, she'd cry.
She had a picture of JFK hanging on her wall.
Talk about a fall from grace...
