On RFFM.org you will find a list of those Congressional members who voted "yea" for a nearly $1 trillion rape of the American taxpayer: http://rffm.typepad.com/republicans_for_fair_medi/2008/10/the-bipartisan-boondoggle-which-members-of-congress-voted-yea---putting-the-us-nearly-1-trillion-in-more-debt.html
I am not an economist. I am simply an American citizen who knows when it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and defecates like a duck, it's a duck.
Late last week, the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives passed a bill that will put the U.S. government nearly $1 trillion deeper in debt. Earlier in the week, the House of Reps. found some political backbone and rejected the $700 billion pork-laden bailout plan and it was a victory for the American people. I rejoiced. It was reminiscent of when the public stopped the Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill that would have granted amnesty to over 12 million illegal immigrants. Unbelievably, the original bailout bill would have provided millions of tax dollars to La Rosa, a pro-illegal immigration organization which supports an open border between the United States and Mexico. If that wasn't enough to stick in your throat, the bailout legislation also targeted monies for another dubious organization...

Congress takes us farther into socialism and yet many people are still willing to support two socialist Presidential candidates.
I’m happy that my Representative, Joe Barton (R-TX) voted “no”.
It is “La Raza” (the race) not “La Rosa” (the rose).
The bailout will require much more than a trillion dollars of “investment,” hopefully not all at the same time. What the investment in “toxic assets” will yield, and how much of the earnings will actually be used to reduce federal debt, will only become apparent some years from now.
Some of the individuals whom I’m sure will come out “whole” are Secretary Paulson, Committee Chairs Chris Dodd and Barney Frank, and presidential candidates Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Yes, as individuals who have individually contributed to and benefitted by the financial collapse.
It’s probably worse that we now have a socialist economy. Any big business able to bribe the right politicians can be made whole with gifts or loans that need never be repaid.
Bottom line: I still have no idea. Their server was "too busy."
Does anyone know what rffm.org is?
Has anyone found a list for who is responsible for the “pork” that was added to the last bill? I know Schumer was responsible for the race track tax break but curious about the others. Our GA Representative (7th District) John Linder voted NO. It’s just the tip of the iceberg, I’m afraid. Sort of like the camel’s nose but I think it’s been more than the camel’s nose for the past 40 years. Did it accomplish what the PC crowd wanted - I think so!!
