Bombshell: Obama Neck Deep in Breaking Campaign Finance Scandal
The Patriot Room ^ | October 1, 2008 | Bill Dupray

Posted on 10/01/2008 1:39:02 PM PDT by Bill Dupray

This is a bona fide bombshell. Obama loves to say that 90% (or whatever the phony made-up figure is) of his donors contributed less than $200? Sounds good, right? Real, honest to goodness grass-roots support there. The little people, the poor people, really want this guy to be their president. Well it turns out that 35 or 40 of those "people" turn out to be one person contributing nearly $9,000 to Obama; a clear violation of campaign finance laws restricting donations to a maximum of $4600 per election cycle. And the kicker? The guy is named Good Will. Mr. Will is from Texas.

And we are just getting warmed up.

From Newsmax.

In a letter dated June 25, 2008, the FEC asked the Obama campaign to verify a series of $25 donations from a contributor identified as “Will, Good” from Austin, Texas.

Mr. Good Will listed his employer as “Loving” and his profession as “You.”

A Newsmax analysis of the 1.4 million individual contributions in the latest master file for the Obama campaign discovered 1,000 separate entries for Mr. Good Will, most of them for $25.

In total, Mr. Good Will gave $17,375.

Following this and subsequent FEC requests, campaign records show that 330 contributions from Mr. Good Will were credited back to a credit card. But the most recent report, filed on Sept. 20, showed a net cumulative balance of $8,950 — still well over the $4,600 limit.

There can be no doubt that the Obama campaign noticed these contributions, since Obama’s Sept. 20 report specified that Good Will’s cumulative contributions since the beginning of the campaign were $9,375.

Campaign finance scandals get settled years after the fact and are usually resoved by paying a fine. There’s just no way that the disinterested Media will bring this to a head before the election. If they can ignore Bill Ayres they can ignore this.

Obama has collected millions of dollars.

The fact that ONE person scammed the system to give a measley 9 THOUSAND dollars is not going to get anyone excited.

Calling this a MAJOR SCANDAL just makes people think “if this is all they can find on him, he must be pretty clean.”

It’s like the Palin attacks. They were all so petty that they backfired and made people think she was OK if that was all they could really find.

There is a way to get the MSM to pay attention to this... Their websites are increasingly blog-friendly. Post this information all over every election article.

Force them to acknowledge the problem by forcing them to defend it.

Bombshell? Where? Not with the Drive By Media.

We need to get a clue folks. Obama could be caught on tape doing exactly what is alleged here and the Drive By Media will ignore. The Drive Bys are going to ignore everything and anything a conservative news source brings out that is damaging to The One. Have we've learned nothing over the years??? The Sheeple still get the majority of their news from the Drive Bys and all of this stuff that is posted on forms and blogs like this one and labeled “Bombshell” or “Damaging” is NEVER going to get to them. And it if does it will be qualified as coming from an “Obama critic” or a conservative news organization.

Our side is going to have to find new ways to take the fight to the Rats and the Drive Bys. McCain and Co had a chance last week in the debate to slam Obama and get him out of his slick game and he didn't do it. Until we learn to go nuclear in every battle with the Rats and the Drive Bys, we are so doomed to defeat and disappointment.

It's just a fact, folks!

Hillary?

She had every Chinese dishwasher in Manhattan on her donor list!  And don't forget Norman Hsu.

This is just the norm for Democrats.  It won't rise to the level of scandal.

What about this then?

The FEC has compiled a separate database of potentially questionable overseas donations that contains more than 11,500 contributions totaling $33.8 million. More than 520 listed their “state” as “IR,” often an abbreviation for Iran. Another 63 listed it as “UK,” the United Kingdom. More than 1,400 of the overseas entries clearly were U.S. diplomats or military personnel, who gave an APO address overseas. Their total contributions came to just $201,680. But others came from places as far afield as Abu Dhabi, Addis Ababa, Beijing, Fallujah, Florence, Italy, and a wide selection of towns and cities in France.

Obama Campaign/Schumer Lie: Our Donations Are Coming from Average Citizens
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2082387/posts
Posted on Sunday, September 14, 2008 8:21:21 PM by jilliane

Less than 3.5% of all registered Democrats have donated to Obama and the majority have been MAJOR donors, not small ones as has been misstated repeatedly by the Obama campaign. The latest lie came today with the announcements that $66 million were raised in August and that the greatest part is that the donations "come in the $10s and $25s from the average citizen", quoting Sen. Schumer on Sunday, 9/14/08 on Meet the Press.

Even Tom Brokaw responded in doubt: "But a lot of them come from big friends of yours on Wall Street and New York, and people have big chunks of money..." Indeed, Mr. Brokaw. The numbers don't lie like Schumer does.

August's $66 mil brings Obama's total fundraising to $456,000,000 to date. The campaign gave us the important numbers of 500,000 new donors and 2,500,000 total donors, so we can do the math.

Let's say donors who gave $10s & $25s gave an average of $17.50. We know that they have donors over $25 but to give them the best case scenario, if ALL 2,500,000 donors were from "average citizens" who gave $17.50 then the campaign would have raised no more than $43,750,000. That's $412,250,000 less than actual contributions. That proves that the majority of donors have NOT given $10s and $25s as they've misstated.

When Brokaw corrected Schumer on the spin and correctly stated that Obama's donors are from "people with big chunks of money" - what did Schumer say? "But, but the percentage of average voters sending in money is, is remarkably high, higher than it's been in any campaign."

So much for the donations coming in the form of $10s and $25s; he switches to % of money coming from average donors. Let's look at the %. There were 72,000,000 registered democrats in 2004 and the Obama camp has bragged that democrat voter registration has increased. Using the lower 72 million Democrat number, they've raised money from 2,500,000 donors - that's an unimpressive 3.5% of Democrats who've donated - average or otherwise and if that's "remarkably high" well, consider that the 3.5% assumes all the donors are registered Democrats, which they aren't so the % is even lower from the party.

It wouldn’t make a damned bit of difference to the dead democrats, but when you read the Newsmax article it becomes clear that Barack’ACORN’Obama is being funded in large part by Arabs and Islamicists using Gaza refugee names and camp addresses, Abudabi and even Iran addresses! The blatant criminality is what is so astonishing, but then the ACORN godman is not an honest man and never has been. As a narcissist he is wide open ...

We need to push for complete transparency on all political donations. Even $25 is too much to allow to fly under the radar if there are fifty thousand "community organizers" making thousands of small donations with George Soros's money.

Yep...poor naive Freepers. When are you guys going to stop expecting the MSM to do their job...and treat both equally.

McCain is BLOWING and chance he has to win this because he refuses to get his hands dirty. He still thinks the media will somehow report the truth...and he wants to be seen as the guy who will reach across the aisle.

Problem is: Across the aisle is an pit pull that is prepared to rip out your jugular.

The talk radio programs all over the USofA are on air every day. Calling in to raise these issues is one way to touch fellow Americans. Make a short script for yourself to follow so the host will not get you gnarled up, and hit the data points of your script. The call in numbers are easily found and patience is rewarded. I’ve been on Rush’s program twice in the past eleven years and onl;y call in on five or six occasions. Speed redial does help when you try to get through to one of the popular programs, but guys like Lars Larsen often have openings on the call board, especially at times when folks are rushing home from work. And they will hear it on the car radio!
