First Swift Company tells Muslims that their demands for special break times would no longer be met. Now Swift has fired 150 Muslims who worked there. They were fired for being selfish and taking unauthorized work breaks to accommodate Islam. A few Muslim workers actually fainted on the job because of lack of food. Them fainting makes me wonder how much other Muslim workers slacked off this month due to lack of energy.

Yes, one would think so. But really there's no agonizing for the ACLU here--they will go for the most "exotic" minority, the Muslims. Latinos are part of the mainstream compared to Muslims. After all, the Latinos are Christians, aren't they? Same thing happens with Latinos and Blacks--the ACLU will go for the Black because they are the "real" minority, the "real" victims. Latinos are "white" compared to Blacks, so the Blacks get the ACLU sympathy.
So no one in the ACLU will lose any sleep over this one. The Muslims are the real victims here, dontcha know? After all, if they are Somali Muslims, then they win the victim sweepstakes on two counts: both Black and Muslim. No way Latinos can claim victimhood here, if you are an ACLU bleeding heart.
My son and dil lived in Portland, ME for a few years. Whenever he saw the Somalians on the street, he would walk by and mutter “Blackhawk Down”. It totally ticked off his Harvard educated, very liberal wife.
At one point, they "provided" special diversity training. This training consisted of bringing all middle-aged, white males together, separate from the rest of the employees, and "explaining" how diversity offers the opportunity to "celebrate" in everyone's differences. We were told that this celebration came with a price, i.e. the need to respect these differences, regardless of how much we might not agree them or how much they may be uncomfortable or offensive to us. We needed to shift our "paradigm" and ensure that we showed no discomfort or discrimination towards these differences at all cost, up to and including termination. End phase 1........
About 4 months later, we had another "session", given to the same select audience. This time we were told that some of "our" traditions and customs may be offensive or cause diverse members of our staff to be uncomfortable and we should be sensitive to this and avoid this at all cost, up to and including termination, End phase 2.....
