Make no mistake about it; the left's attacks on Sarah Palin's family are meant to be a Mafia style message to other conservative women -- you cross us and we'll come after your children.
If you want to see how far they'll go, witness this entry from an anonymous blog dedicated to attacking Trig Palin (I'll leave it to the netroots to actually link the blog because I'm not going to do it). Yes, that's right, some liberal out there has actually created an entire blog dedicated to mocking a baby with Down's Syndrome.
To give you an idea of what the content is like, here's a screenshot of one of the posts,

Just this past Saturday, I saw a Down’s child cry...He was, I think, stung by a bee...
I can’t ever...EVER...remember seeing a Down’s child crying before...I have never seen a Down’s child with anything but a smile or look of determination on their face...
IMO, they have always seemed so cheerful and happy..outgoing, friendly...
The most important facet of this is finding out the name and address of the blog's creator and the name and address of his employer, if any.
The author is clearly asking for an extra-strength eschoiring (you veteran FReepers know what I'm talking about).

As the father of a Down Syndrome child, I can assure you that he cries - just like any other child. He also fights with his brothers, locks bedroom doors at inopportune times, and exhibits likes & dislikes just as anyone else would. What is particularly wonderful about my Son is that his smile is contagious and near-constant.
My Son is our family's social barometer - if he doesn't like someone, they are (and we proven this) probably someone we shouldn't associate with. But, if he likes someone - be prepared for the great hugs & kisses coming your way!
Trig Palin is what he is. He is gift from God, bestowed upon the Palin family, to encourage and grow their spirits, and to allow the family to show its willingness to accept that growth. Trig shall do his part, and in doing so, perhaps some of the superstitious beliefs about children of special needs will at last be dispelled. Not everybody shall be converted to that frame of mind, but just consider, how far the world has come already in bringing these children out into the light, and not shuttling them away to languish in some institution, as if they had committed some grievous crime and were sentenced to a life in seclusion.

My sister (age 41) has Down’s Syndrome, and she has only shed tears twice, at the deaths of our Mom & Dad. I remember her crying once as a baby, when she needed a diaper change, but that is the one and only time!
This is all about scaring conservatives.

Okay, come on. Really. Never seen a child with Down syndrome cry?! I hope you’re being facetious. Please, everyone, try to understand that children and adults with Down syndrome are not some other species. They are people. Children with Down syndrome are CHILDREN. Babies with Down syndrome are BABIES. Unless they have medical issues, developmental delays don’t really even begin to surface until around the age of six months or so because of the effects of the extra copy of chromosome 21. And most individuals with Down syndrome fall somewhere in the mild to moderate range of cognitive delay. It doesn’t mean they can’t learn. It just takes a little longer for them to learn SOME things, not EVERYTHING.
I have three children. A perfectly beautiful, but otherwise chromosomally-ordinary daughter and two strong, handsome, smart, funny, at times naughty and disobedient, determined sons with Down syndrome. One is biological, one is a domestic “re-gift” from a birth mom in Chicago of all places. I don’t want to seem like I’m jumping anyone’s case here, but comments like these honestly just continue to perpetuate the notion that kids with Down syndrome are always happy because they’re too retarded to know better. I can assure you nothing could be further from the truth. And fools like the one who posted the “I Hayte Me!” abomination have no earthly idea what he or she is doing.
If you have never had the luxury of meeting someone who was formed with an extra bit of genetic material, I urge you to volunteer at a local parent support group in your area. It will open your eyes to what is really important in life. There is a special place in Hell reserved for idiots who belittle those who have never done a thing to deserve it.

I wish I could say my older son’s smile is near-constant. He’s one of the moodiest people I have ever met. And he’s only six! Which just proves my point that it is a complete fallacy to say they are always sunny, happy people. They are not. They have good days and bad days. Just like all the rest of us.
Obviously, these bottom dwelling liberal Obama lickers are simply jealous of Trig, because he is both loved and clearly has the capacity to be more intelligent than the best of them. He will clearly have more class.
